We’re going to win tomorrow guaranteed. I’ve been a fan for over 30 years and I get to go to MSG tomorrow for the first time ever and I refuse to watch them fucking lose.
Side question is the $22 prime rib sandwich really worth the hype?
There’s really no sugarcoating it – this team actually sucks.
I’m convinced that the Wilson incident caused this team’s downfall.
Rangers have come back down to earth unfortunately. I just hope they can get out of this slump in a timely manner
Just trying to look at this from a reasonable perspective. In the simplist words I can find, I feel like the Rangers depth has taken a huge hit. Chytil did a lot for this team during his past few years. So has Kakko, the team is missing their production. That’s a lot of points just taken away. No reason for me to go into defense. It’s been good at times, but you can’t just play D for 40 minutes, or play 60 minutes but have 5 glaring horrible mental mistakes. It needs to be more consistent, it needs to be committed, it needs to be better. Team defense that is. It needs to work as a unit. Also, Pitlick has been one of the more consistent defensive forwards on the Rangers. He was a big loss too. We need to get healthy, and start regrouping.
To an extent this time was going to live or die by its younger core. Kappo stunk before getting hurt, Chytil had a quiet start and then sustained a possibly season ending injury, Lafreniere’s played much better but still isn’t a lock for 50 points like he should be. Miller is mistake prone and even left the team for a while, Schneider regressed in all respects and is functionally the 6D. If Igor is a part of that younger core then, well, his struggles are already well publicized. Fox is finally getting back on track after a bad injury. Cuylle is a fantastic story but he doesn’t have elite upside and is being over-relied on.
This team has the record they do because the old guys dragged them to it. It’s not really a surprise that when they got tired/hurt/sick/whatever that the team started losing. There just isn’t any reliable depth under a small core of aging veterans, and a lot of that is because the future just hasn’t arrived like it needed to.

I typically like to let games fester for a while, but this effort was atrocious. This is what you get in mid january with a team that has built a significant point cushion that is loaded with veterans that can’t be moved. Tomorrow I would bet the world they smash the Capitals. It won’t even be a close game.
I understand players are hurt and sick. I realize they are human. But you’d be damn sure if I was getting paid 8 to 11 million a year to do my job…… if I took a month off…. I would get fired. Mika and Kreider need to be fired.
Miller needs a day off or whatever for a reset. He is just making too many bone head plays that are directly leading to goals against. Trouba is no showing it for very large parts of games.
This is no longer a team. It is a collection of individuals that are collecting a paycheck under the same roof. That is it. No one cares more than that. They should be embarrassed by this loss and the last month, but what do they care. They still get paid. When you start looking at this team in this light it makes more and more sense. They do enough to not look horrible, but when it is time to shine, they just go take a bathroom break. Everyone has these people in their workforce.
This team is loaded with them.
Laf needs to learn how to finish. I love his game and he looks awesome out there. He just needs to stop shooting right into the emblem on the goalie’s chest. He got robbed on that last shot he had, but all his other attempts are just center mass. Either pass it or move your body for a different angle on the shot. I am sure it will come, but it is frustrating to watch as I am sure it is for him.
I know most on here will downvote me, but Mika needs to go. Or someone needs to figure out how to properly motivate this man. I know he is sick and he has a black eye from the other night, but his effort compared to his talent level, it is not even close. If Vesey had the talent of mika I think we would win 80 games a season. That is how talented Mika is, but how pathetic his effort is. This isn’t me reacting to one game. This me looking at him over his entire career as a Ranger. I don’t know and I don’t think there is a way to get him to care. He has guaranteed money for the next 6 years. Really the only option is to just bench him. He is so much better of a player then what we get on an average night. And it is so frustrating.
K’Andre too. He falls under this as well. 6’6 and 220 but plays like he is 4’10 and 120. Stick checking and fading from hits. This game aside he has been ass for a while now. Again we don’t have a ton of options. We don’t have 0, but it would take a drastic type GM to do something.
Anyone who thinks we are still going to be in 1st in a week is insane.

Boy people in here love it when the team loses. Trade everyone, trade for this guy, buyout this guy, you name. Do people REALIZE that if/when Kakko and Chytil come off the LTIR, that the team’s cap space is gonna be limited!? Oh yeah. you got that right. When your in a rut, your in a rut. that’s what this team is in. Not only that, this team is once again snakebitten.
Today’s game really, was a game that the Rangers could have won it, but let it slip away. BUT ONCE AGAIN, SOMEONE ON THE PP NEEDS TO BE FUCKING SELFISH AND SHOOT THE PUCK DAMN IT. But in reality, I’d rather have this losing streak now rather than later. Laf can’t finish, Key can’t defend, and the bottom 6 besides maybe Cuylle and Vesey is useless.

I’ve been a Rangers fan since about 1970. I can’t say I’m surprised by this. I’ve been waiting for the other shoe to drop since we started this season. They are not…never will be…cannot ever aspire to be…the ’93-’94 team, yet every year I hold out hope. Why? Because I bleed blue, because it’s ingrained in me, because I watch every game, every season, cheer every power play, groan on every missed shot, jump up and down for every goal. I am the Rangers fan my dad created me to be. It’s in my blood. I will always love and suffer with this team. I am….a Rangers Fan. Tomorrow I will pick myself up at 1:00 and do it all over again. Let’s Go Rangers!!!!
