Wings almost blew a 5-1once again, this time after 2 periods. No defense, no defense, no defense….. Wings need to learn to have possession of the puck when they are in the lead. With the exception of a few players, they look like amateurs when they're in the lead and not playing good defense while possessing the puck/keeping the puck away from their opponent. The Kings put on a clinic in the 3rd period against the Wings, who all of a sudden forgot how to play professional hockey. Luckily, they were able to stave off the onslaught by the Kings. If Lalonde allows his players to play like this in front of Alex Lyon (who has been nothing less than great in goal), than the Wings organization need to replace Lalonde, hopefully some day with John Tortorella (current head coach of the Flyers). I don't think Torts would allow for his players to screw up a lead like that too often. Lalonde has coached this Wings team all season and he is the one responsible for this amateurish style of play. Again, the Wings almost allowed the Kings back in the game. This is inexcusable, and the head coach, in this case Lalonde, should take full responsibility. Enough of this nonsense. If the Wings continue to play this way with a lead, they cannot make the playoffs, and that responsibility should be on Lalonde's head.
