Wild Frustrated After Overtime Non-Call on Eriksson Ek’s Breakaway



January 12, 2023: Minnesota Wild forward Joel Eriksson Ek had a chance to win it on a shorthanded overtime breakaway, only to be slowed down by what he felt was an ‘obvious penalty.’

  1. He grabbed him that's the problem. He grabs him by his left hip side pulling his jersey to keep up with him, that's holding and is a penalty, I think he knew what he was doing and that's a blind spot for the refs,he did it sneaky. The poke check was clean and everything else was clean but that subtle grab is what they are ranting about. That could of stopped Erikson from getting away and making that shot. This is why challenge for a offside but not allowed to challenge other plays is the dumbest thing ever. They need to change the rules and allow 2 coach challenges for any call or non call. These plays cost games, obviously. They need to take it more serious.

  2. Man that's bad. Glad I canceled my cable this year and don't have to watch this crap anymore.
