[Roumeliotis] Connor Bedard is in full gear right now inside the locker room. It looks like he’s going to skate on his own in a non-contact jersey. Wow.

Luke Richardson confirmed that Bedard is still on a 6-8 week timeline, but Bedard has been begging to get out on the ice.

Ya gotta love it. Hell of a work ethic on this kid.

Medical staff: “You should expect to be out 6-8 weeks while this heals.”

    Bedard: “6-8 games, got it.”

Medical staff: “That’s not what we said…”

  4. Sounds about right…considering you don’t use your jaw to play. I’d want to get back out ASAP to at least maintain some semblannce conditioning. The timeline is likely more for the bone to be meaningfully healed rather than Connor’s ability to play so I’m not sure how much the timeline gets pushed up.

I truly don’t mean this in any meatball context whatsoever, but given he has no lower body injury I’d kind of expect any NHL player to go skate on his own under these circumstances no?

Let’s not forget he literally JUST had surgery I’m sick and tired of ppl saying this isn’t impressive. It’s incredibly impressive! I can barely get my ass out of bed after a cold let alone a surgery. Helluva work ethic on him. Hand him the fucking Calder already

This just made me so happy 🥹

    Our king has returned

  8. imagine being the dude in practice that accidentally hurts bedard again lol

I wish I could still heal like an 18 year old, holy crap.

Dude has amazing work ethic. Meanwhile back in the day you had guys like Alexander Semin who refused to skate in practice with an injured finger

This is the kid who brought rollerblades to Hawaii because he wanted to play hockey instead of go on vacation.

    No surprises here. Legend
