Krebs needs some wingers who have some hands and finishing ability. It seems like every game he sets up his wingers with a glorious opportunity like the one he gave Greenway yesterday and either they flub it or they can’t bury it.

He’s been noticeably good lately. He needs a chance

Stop playing him with anchors like okposo.. Had a good game with Robinson on his wing he plays a similar straight line game.. Same in worlds when he had Blais on his wing..

  4. And Santiago Espinal hit a home run on April 17th, 2023.

I don’t dislike Krebs and I do think he’s been remarkable with Robinson lately, but… kind of a questionable use of hockey stats, imo.

And I’m usually the guy being told “kind of a questionable use of hockey stats, imo”.

Edit: to be clear, on the whole season Krebs has pretty unflattering on-ice 5v5 xG stats. I think deployment matters more than a lot of people realize and I don’t think it’s the whole story on his value or lack thereof (and it’s valuable to identify trends mid-season), but… yeah. I think single-game advanced stats are fun to look at, but I think they’re generally kind of worthless to talk about.

Also: I’m seeing different numbers from yesterday’s game on NST than what LL typed here. I’m not seeing anybody break 80% xGF% 5v5, adjusted or not.
