That comment after the AVs game was brutal.
Sounded like Keefe basically waiving white flag when the other bench is better. And when his bench is better, he gets outcoached. I understand giving a compliment to the other team is a thing,but he just looked deflated.
Umm, there is four players making all the money surrounded by AHL bums. They are massively overachieving right now…wait for it. This will get much worse…and then worse again.
Keefe isn’t good but this group isn’t capable of anything different. Terrible terrible d group woll is who knows very small sample size they have to ride the backs of 4 players all of whom are soft and the team has no real leader it’s a mess. Also the 5v3 debate is dumb intentionally not touching pucks to kill more 5v3 is not smart. It’s a 6v4 so your still down 2 men giving up puck possession in your own end with tired guys on possibly not proper personnel is nuts. Touch it up get fresh legs and proper personnel on do 5v3 or 6v4 what’s the difference

That Brody play, although dumb is irrelevant cause if he touches the puck neglecting that goal. They score on that 2 man advantage all day every day against us. So technically it evened itself out.
Laggesson has had multiple suspension worthy plays that just haven't been called. I liked him at first too, but after seeing him resort to playing dirty numerous times when his defensive skill does not match up concerns me. He only looks as good as he does because he is not getting called. If he was getting his fair share of calls, we would all be saying he was a liability.
In a 82 game season there are good efforts and not so good efforts. Leaf Nation and media have to quit living and dyeing with every regular season game out come. Leafs will find a way to add some depth before March 8th, they will be in the playoffs so just take it all in stride until the games REALLY count. As a Canuck fan we have won more than one Presidents Trophy and gone no where in the playoffs. I'm not ruling out a new coaching direction at some point but that will sort itself out.

keefe didn't put this brutal roster together. shanahan did. when players are disinterested coaches typically take their ice time away. that's all they can do in today's nhl. the guys sat in the 3rd were mailing it in.

Only thing I noticed the game vs the Avs, in the 2nd and 3rd every Leafs player is afraid of the MacKinnon line. You don't sit back on a 3 goal lead. Leafs have players that basically stopped playing.. Keefe actually tried to out-coach Bednar.
Keefe is a bad coach. He is consistently out coached and everyone just looks at the big 4 as if they are to blame….
What went wrong this weekend? 100% the wrong question. Im putting on ur spare tire, manual says i should use wheel nuts, shanahan says i can use scotch tape. Everyone says hes insane, but common sense be damned!!! Wait. What do u mean the wheel flew off and killed Everyone!?!?! He seemed so sure it would work…
