They played so well all season long so it’s not that surprising, they were due to lose some. But just seeing how the other teams are playing they better turn it around soon or it could become a disaster. They need to definitely get a 1RW and a 3C sooner than later.
Sure it’s not all Igor but he’s been average all season.
Some thoughts:
Wheeler sucks- always the slowest guy out there and has no idea what to do with the puck. He doesn't fit in with this team
Bonino has lost his value in terms of defense. Goodrow has been awful for like a month. Laffy can't shoot- he either misses the net or shoots right at the goalie. He should have 6 or 7 more goals if he could pick corners. Igor is off and his lack of consistency is noticeable. Back to playing east/west hockey, lacking physical play, especially from our D. Neutral zone has become a free skate for opponents and they are skating right in. Rangers are cycling up high all the time and not down low limiting quality chances in front of the net. We are gonna need to trade and soon. Of course you mentioned that we need a RW and a C. I don't think Chytil is coming back this year. If he does he'll have missed most of the season and what shape will he be in? Kakko is not the answer to scoring but may help the D. Time to see what kind of coach Laviolette is

Nick bonino like we have 2.lines and r 1st lines is missing a rw. We need a 3Big center and gritty dfense 2 or 1 scary beast or 2 gritty dudes we need a huge shake up fox sucks i cant stand this dude
You mentioned two prospects that are 21; well, Kakko and Lafreniere are 22 and you have expectations of them that could be called "outlandish".
Also, Othmann and Edstrom haven't proven what they're gonna be yet. Kakko and Lafreniere have. I'll give Chytil a pass due to injury, but his start wasn't much to write home about either.

The former players scoring and shift after goal are I guess specific issues a little I think it’s more their defensive play is just always one bad mistake away from costing them a game I think the biggest thing is that the team is just very soft and not hard working group at all they were buying in early and playing well but they always eventually go back to playing soft not physical pond hockey where they try to be the cutest team in the league and I think that just speaks to the players in the core group they are just kinda all very soft players I’ve never seen a team like this where you’d expect maybe after the other team scores rangers would get mad and start playing with some bite but they just mope like children and complain to refs they got some underlying issues the top players and most of the team in general have to stop being and playing like such pussies their supposed to be the hardest working team in the league yea right they can’t even win a game where the other team is finishing checks all night

The Rangers weaknesses are exposed. They out performed early in the season so they set the bar very high.
One line cant do all the 5v5 scoring. Mika amd Kreids need a true right handed RW.
Wheeler should be traded to a team that needs some leadership. Anthony Duclair for Wheeler lets go.

The Rangers are in TROUBLE as always their play is inconsistent in every category.
I'm not saying this carelessly or without respect, but I don't know if this team can win with Kreider as a leader. The guy has accomplished some great milestones as a blueshirt and is the longest tenured player, so respect, but as the guy that leaves the ice last and undoubtedly has an influence on the rest of the team, he's a gatekeeper for effort and play. If he's not going balls to the wall and setting the tone, the team just relies on its skill. Good for 82 game regular season, no good for matchup, grinding playoff matchups
If you don’t see the fact that Kreider and Mika are useless, not kinda useless, but absolutely useless. They are both holding the team hostage with their NMCs and it will be the reason they never win a cup. Rangers arent making the playoffs.
