BT did nothing last off season to improve this team . Klingberg and Reeves examples of his efforts of lack there off. Mayed he was afraid of blowing things up like in Calgary. So what now ? Their 50th rebuild since 1967 ? Another rebuild should start at the top. Embarrassing !!!😊

I agree that adding both Calgary defensemen would be a splash… But it will cost you a ton of young players… My opinion is they have no choice but to trade one of the core 4 , Mitch I believe is the one to go. He is up for new contract and he will want a TRUCKLOAD OF MONEY which we can not afford to pay. The Culture needs to be changed in the dressing room, and new coaching staff. The core are no longer young kids they been here 7+ years…. and nothing to show for it. Major shack up is needed or this group will only spin there wheels over and over again and in the end NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT…

Idk I think that adding nothing would kinda hurt the leafs. We’re 3th in the division and it’s halfway through the season. And a lot of the guys dubas got are finally hitting their age where the don’t do anything on 5 on 5 perfect examples are Brodie and Tavares. It’s kinda late if they want to go for draft picks and pull a Colorado and be bottom of their division for like 3 years straight
Instead of trying to make a big trade right now I would try and get a different coach like Craig Berube or Gerard that's what I would see it like that's what I would like to see is one of those two

I agree with standing pat if we are going to take a real shot at Mcdavid in the next couple of years. Tavares is gonna resign for a team friendly or will be gone and Mcdavid will be available if they don’t go deep this year in the playoffs and we all know he wants to put the leafs sweater on. Only problem is that leaf’s give no trade clause way to much. I’d like to see Willy sent to Edmonton with a couple of first rounders or whatever Edmonton want other than matthews. I also believe if the leafs don’t get things together matthews is gonna walk to play in the states anyway. So I think Mcdavid should be on top of the list for the future of our team and to anyone who says it can’t and won’t happen just look back when they got rid of Gretzky for a duffel bag full of cash!! Mcdavid will be a leaf unless he wins the cup or the conference final with Edmonton and I think Edmonton knows that and it’s why his junior coach is now in Edmonton!!! They need a defenceman, they’re going to pick it up here within the next month without a doubt and all of the commentators will look stupid. JT gonna get back to it Nylander is gonna pick it up, knies is gonna get going again. Woll should come back and play decent for us. A solid defencman and better team defence and poisoning in the defensive zone are a must though.

We can be rid of Marner and JT contracts after next season. If they want to stay, 5 mil X 2yr max without a no trade Claus. We are STUCK now with Willy's rediculous contract that hamstrings the team. We are fooked for this and next season until we can build a REAL team from the GOALIE/DEFENCE out by having cap room. 2 of this core-4 plays for the name on the back of their jersey instead of the logo on the front. May as well accept it Leaf nation and just enjoy our reg season team that makes so great highlights.
