I miss Frankie. Last year, he and Georgie were such a formidable tandem. I think that losing Frankie to injury this year just before the season started was actually the biggest personnel challenge that we’ve faced. More than needing a solid 2C, more than losing Lehky, Girard, and now Nichushkin for large stretches of time. Besides providing workload relief, I think Frankie also helped keep Georgie in a good headspace and helped him play to his full potential. That’s of course all speculation, but it seems pretty probable to me.
EDIT: I just want to add that I also miss Frankie on a personal level so much. He’s such an awesome guy!

Varlarmov might actually be available and at this point in his career he’s no more than a back up… and maybe not that which is why the Islanders might deal him.

I love kuemper for winning us a cup and everything but even when he was here I felt nervous about every shot on goal because he also let in some questionable goals and I just never really felt fully confident with him in net. I was fully confident with Georgiev last year, and I think Georgiev can still turn things around but I hope it happens soon because it’s getting old.

Imagine how dirty we’d be with decent goaltending this year. Our O is on fire if Georgie was even playing like last year we’d prob be #1 rn

Really only the first goal you could say was bad on Georgie. Even that the Avs played like a junior team trying to get the puck. Just watched it. The rest you can credit skaters for not picking up their guy
