  1. I do think that the Jets should go all in this year and try to do something incredible. I do think they could still trade and overpower this team. I personally would prefer a forward for increased offence during those games where jets still struggle to score. Another great defencemen could be good but he would need an offensive component as well. Price and everything dont matter in my opinion, the only thing that matters is that a player coming to play in Winnipeg needs to legitimately and genuinely want to be there, otherwise there is no point in getting another player. Jets spent years already getting rid of rifraf that didn’t want to be there.

  2. Winnipeg's 1st and MTL's 2nd + Logan Stanley is that good for Chychrun or not im not sure, would love to have him.

  3. Hey Mr. Peg City. Before I throw out stats, I'd be certain I was correct. Chycrun would not be tied for the defense lead with Morrisey. Morrissey has 33 points, 26 assists. Jacob has 26 points.

  4. We're not going to land Chycrun with fragile Heinola and small playing Stanley. My lord Chevy is great but not a miracle worker. We're probably talking someone like Heinola or Stanley AND McGroarty or Lamberg.

  5. I’d be all for trading Heinola for Chychrun. We’d have to add the MTL 2nd rounder and maybe a later pick, but I would be 100% all in on this. I’m not sure if Ottawa accepts, but we know Chevy!!

  6. Keep in mind that both Dillon and DeMelo are gone after this year, so that's almost $7 million off the books. Having Chychrun for 7 or 8 years at $7 million, let's say, would be more stable than brining up Heinola. I'd be totally fine with trading Heinola for Chychrun, assuming he's signing for 7 or 8 years to be our #2 LD.

  7. Heinola needs a chance to play! I think he would get the chance to prove himself in Ottawa. Any package involving him or Stanley i would be all in for.

  8. what would the asking price be?

Chrisholm/Schmidt + 1st + 2nd? Theres a lot that would go into play here, but might have to go all in if you want him

  9. We need a good couple playoff tested players to have even as backup for inevitable injuries that will happen throughout

  10. We have personnel to move, let's get something for them rather than losing people to the waiver wire. I'd rather keep Heinola and get rid of Stanley with some picks, but it's all what the seller will take for their asset. GO JETS GO!

  11. Problem is he was born in Florida, he absolutely hates the cold. He's made recent comments that "there's no excuse for how cold it is there" when referring to Winnipeg. He has a NMC with one year left on his deal. If it was just for this year maybe he'd be fine with coming here for playoffs but I don't think he'd want to stay here for anything beyond that.

  12. After everything, I do trust Chevy to make a great decision. It’s true that Bones is all about defence.
But, I’m among the ones who thinks,”don’t try and fix what’s not broken”.

  13. Couple of thoughts here,
Demelo and Dillon have had preliminary discussions regarding extensions. If that's the case with Morrisey Samberg Dillon Demelo adding Chiychrun leaves only 1spot open. So D likely going back. The conversation starts with the 1st rd pick, Stanley or Heinola after that likely is a quality depth forward and mid rnd pick or another Prospect imo.
That leaves the Jets still looking for a 2c. Would they go after more like Giroux as well or would it be smarter to target Calgary who has the C & D
