If monahan's going to the leafs it's 'cause they've paid a freaking big price man i can tell u that hahaha. A 58% on faceoffs center like him, not injured, at 2m/y so 1m on cap hit at midseason~ish is freaking gold heading up into the playoffs. Colorado or Winnipeg makes more sense to me 'cause Toronto just won't pay the price Hughes' asking

I’m predicting right now that Monahan gets dealt to the Winnipeg Jets, Savard goes to the Dallas Stars, Allen goes to the Devils/Carolina… Also Homberg is not good enough in my opinion you would get a better player for Monahan… Homberg is good with Elite players he’s not been good away from them…

TOR: Savard, Allen, Monahan.
MTL: Tavares, Robertson, Knies, 1 2nd and 2 1sts.
The Habs get JT who can help them stay competitive since Monahan and Savard are huge losses. Knies also could be a top 6 option possibly. Robertson is another NHL caliber prospect we can develop well. The picks are to help rebuild.
The leafs are removing a basically unmoveable contract for deph which is exactly what they need. Monahan is a 40-50 point TWC. Savard is an insane defensive defenseman with some scoring upside and Allen for better goaltending.
