  1. That was disappointing. The canucks made that way more "interesting" than it needed to be. Demko did NOT play very well and the team slacked off in the second. There is still another level of consistency and killer instinct this team needs to get to, that the 11 team had. They're close, but not quite there yet.

  2. Canucks Fan here and this was a great win however I feel like theres something lacking in the Defence. Just cant put my finger on it but theres a weakness in D.

  3. The Leafs are impotent even when the league hands them a home ice advantage all year with the 4PM PST starts to cater to them. What an embarrassment excuse of a franchise.

  4. Demko didn't bring his A game until the last 5 to 10 minutes in the third. Third and fourth lines played well. I am not even sure why people called the Suter-Kuzmenko-Mikheyev line the second line. It is increasingly clear to me that Suter, while a capable player, is not the right center for the two Russians. (You can say the two wingers are not the right fit for Suter.) My guess is that Tocchet wants Suter and Mikheyev to cover Kuzemko's defensive shortcomings. Something is going to give. Once you get into the playoffs (and hopefully before that), that line got to get going.

  5. It's nice to focus on the positive, but.
That second period is a perfect example of what Vancouver does wrong.
    Getting outshot, consistently, every game.
For the most part, there is a lot to like, but not enough to plan a parade route.

  6. Canucks are the biggest surprise of the season (so far at least) for me. I'm an Oilers fan, but I don't think that the Canucks will be caught for first place. Maybe an Oilers/Canucks semi-final. That would be good. 🙂

  7. I knew TOR defence was less than stellar and VAN a very good team but yikes guys. Defence wins playoff hockey games, not Auston Matthewsj or Michael Nylander (joking)

  8. Matthews is a 60-70 goal scorer legit, but where is he in the big games Leafs fans? Maybe this is why they don't want to pay him so much.

  9. Nice to see the points coming for Garland. He was playing the exact same way at the beginning of the year but wasn't getting the bounces.
