  1. For this man's sanity, I hope the Leafs win the cup (as long as its not against the Canucks). An observation – the Canucks this season seem to win a lot of games with less or even far less shots. I think its a combination of great goaltending, and quality over quantity.

  2. feels great to watch this video as a canucks fan, haha. the leafs offense was on fire – but you don't win off offense alone. dcore and goaltending steals you wins!

  3. The depth just is not there at all. Matthews can’t get a hattie every night, Bertuzzi and Domi are actually useless,
Blue line is thin goaltending is thinner. Knies could have probably used some seasoning in the AHL, he was solid in uni but that shouldn’t guarantee a guy a spot in the show right away. Leaf land is in trouble, maybe get that 3rd playoff spot and what? Get slapped around by the Panthers again? Tough times.

  4. Toronto had a lot of shots, but the shots were where Vancouver is okay with the shots coming from. Outside, low danger shots, to a goaltender that can sleep and stop those shots. When Toronto goes for the slot, the team stands up and prevents those. Break up the passes, harrass the players, etc. You look at Vancouver, 21 shots, 6 goals, and those goals, those aren't perimeter. That's the team pushing to the net, scoring net front goals. The kind of goals you need to score when it is the playoffs. If you can't keep GARLAND and HOGLANDER from going net front, there is a problem with your defense and what they're there to do. I'm a Canucks fan, I love those guys, but, they are tiny guys. They wouldn't get those goals if they had been on Toronto playing our defense.
This is a learning game for the leafs, and most importantly, leafs management. They need to change things up.

  5. The whole outshooting the canucks is a BS argument. Everyone out shoots the canucks because the canucks only allow the opposing team to have weak looks where they wait until they have the shot they want. Plus whining about the Canucks out muscling you?????? Dude, say that sentence out loud and listen to how it sounds. The Canucks outsmarted the leafs in every single aspect of the game.

  6. Canucks have lost one single season series this year (Phillidelphia Swept us)
We've Tied 4 (Leafs, Lightning, Devils and Rangers, though with rangers we did get 3/4 points)
and we've Swept 4 Sens, Panthers, Islanders and Predators.
Also we won the series vs the Sharks…
Technically we won the series with Edmonton but my Spreadsheet doesn't count it until all the games in a series are done and that won't happen until Game 80.

  7. If Tavares doesn't improve quick, management needs to have a serious talk with him about if he would be willing to mutually terminate his current contract, then immediately sign a new one. Not illegal under the CBA to my knowledge, and while JT is still a good player, 11 mil is just so far too much for him now that I think management can safely make the argument "We literally can't win with this contract structure"

  8. Quinn Hughes difference maker. Love Reilly but he needs a Hronek or Myers. Compared to Taveres, Hughes is better leader because that locker room holds each other accountable over 💰 & personal stats. Canucks are fucking train right now!! 🔥🔥🔥

  9. I loved the years and Cup wins the Penguins got with players who were never drafted. They did not make big money and knew how hard they had to work to earn a paycheque and to keep their dream alive , some managed a Cup or two with Crosby .Maybe Leafs should try that and ease off having too many top player with enormous salaries.

  10. yah at one point leafs had as many shots on goal as van had goals ~ & after garlands 1st goal vancouver had 3 goals with 8 sog not bad ~ at that point van had as many goals as leafs had sog ~ 3

  11. This game is the Leafs nightmare scenario. The core four playing decent, and the rest of team failing on them. The future does not look bright, at least for this season.

  12. Full disclosure. I'm a canuck fan and the title probably why you popped up. You had me laughing….. it sounded like me ranting first 40 canuck games last year. I feel your pain 😂

  13. The problem with the Leafs is most of the leafs offensive zone time is on the outside perimeter. Too soft as you can get 60 shots and if the goalie has no traffic in front of him he is gonna save it. DRIVE the net boys. Bertuzzi on the power play please…. Bertuzzi on the the ice instead of Jancock when the goalie is out FIRE THE COACH oh and the power play pass back play is so predictable the Canucks pick it off LoL

  14. No team is Canada’s team. Leafs fans who think the Leafs are, are completely wrong and full of themselves. Canada’s team is the one squad the country gets behind in the IIHF tournaments.

  15. Serious question: Why did the Leafs trade Lafferty? I've liked watching him in Vancouver. Solid bottom 6 player, can play with pace, decent defensively, and chips in on the offense. Sounds like exactly what the Leafs need? (I'm a Vancouver fan and don't watch Leafs games. Not trying to troll, but genuinely curious why the Leafs moved him out)

  16. When 4 out of 23 players on the roster are using up have the salary cap a team will be lucky to be where the Leafs are at. The only way to improve is to have the best coach in the league. How much longer will Keefe be in his position?
