I can’t imagine how crazy LA was that night especially after that iconic shot! They partied till the next game wouldn’t surprise me!😂
I remember that home run I was a Dodger fan back then. That very exciting.
Had to come back and watch this after seeing the 🇦🇺/🇦🇫 cricket world cup match… 🦵❌
A legendary at bat like this cannot happen today with the latest rule changes to baseball with number of throws to first and batter timeouts and the such. These 7 minute at bats is what MLB does not want anymore.
I miss Vin Scully. I listened to since I was 13.
I was 7 years old when I watched with my Dad❤
It's a Mind set.. I will win !!!!
He had to shake his legs off!!!
For the win !!!
fairy tales do come true
Am a lifetime football fan but the greatest sports memories of my life was this, Miracle on Ice
And the the "Bulldog" kept the magic going to the end.
Kirk Gibson: THE REAL DEAL MCCOY OF THE DODGERS! GOD HOW WE NEED HIS ENERGY NOW!! NOW THAT’S DODGER WINNING BASEBALL ⚾️⚾️⚾️ 🧢 🧢🧢🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻😎😎😎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😁😁😁
Que tiempos aquellos 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌
Goose pimples every time I see it. That's why sports will never be replaced.
It's the ultimate reality SHOW
One of the few times you here true disbelief in Scully's voice. Man what a call.
You know, I think my generation was spoiled, we got to hear all the greats in their prime.
Iconic. Period.
Am I missing something? He hit a homer and?? What?
I remember cursing out loud about a jinx when the sta about Eck not giving up a run…
Then Kirk swats…
…and I remember thinking, this is the series.
Gibsons HR sealed it right there
One of the greatest moments in Baseball covered by Vin Sculley, one of not the best commentators in baseball.
Right up there with Mays the over the shoulder catch!
He didn't even swing fully with both hands…wow!
Really great job letting the moment breathe, but that home run call could be for ANY home run ever. Actually kind of surprised this is considered a great call. Incredible moment though
One of the few memories that has stuck with me as a kid … what drama it was truly a magical moment
This. Never. Gets. Old.
Baseball at it's finest
Cmon man…two commercials before the video begins, another one a minute-fifteen in? This is getting unwatchable.
Gibson at 50% and against Eckers. What a story . Like the 2004 Red Sox come back sweep sweep
Q gran recuerdo go Dodgers y Gibson 🤘🏻
What a gamble Lasorda made putting Hershiser in relief when he was starting the next day and then winning like this. Truly magnificent coaching.
They needed make a mlb game with all the legends in it please
Bro the crowd was going crazy
As a Dodgers fan, this is my all-time favorite moment in sports.
GiBson the BiG S☀️N
The moment I fell in love with baseball as a kid
Epic
Mi momento favorito en la historia del base ball…..
“I don’t believe what I just saw ❤”
Pre youtube, pre phones. None of the kiddo sheep will know the feeling.
I miss 80's basball! SLAPASS!
Scully's call of Gibson's home run was Ka-Ka. If you want to hear real drama in the play-by-play, listen to Jack Buck's call which he did for the CBS radio broadcast of the game. Comparing Scully to Buck is a joke.
I used to watch the World Series on TV with the sound off. The radio next to me with Vin Scully calling it.
I was 15 when It happened and am 50 now. I still get choked up at this moment every time I see it.
After the dodgers got the steal there was some time in between pitches and eckersly got settled in and agreed on the pitch with the catcher, and then pro move by gibson calling for time and you can tell eckersly was annoyed with it and then gibson leisurely gets back in the box causing eckersly to rush the pitch a bit and it mirrored his previous pitch but fading to the outside of the plate, Gibson knew it was coming and that he can step into the swing and pull the ball to drive it deep. Well played kirk gibson.
I was there with my girlfriend….NEVER, EVER HAVE I SEEN OR HEARD A CROWD THIS PUMPED UP. A 80+ year old woman sitting in front of me jumped about 4 feet off the ground…..you couldn't find a scrap of paper or anything, anywhere on Dodger stadium property for a souvenir. An UNFORGETTABLE EPIC SPORTS MOMENT.
Steve Sax lived across the street from my parents house…
Democrats hadn't damaged America yet…..times were good.
That still gives me goosebumps. Watching LaSorda and Gibson is just the stuff of greatness.
Indeed Iconic…
Simply incredible
