Drouin slash on Liljegren – no call!

Jonathan Drouin took a one handed swipe at the hands of Timothy Liljegren. There was no call on the play. Not sure how this was missed. Or maybe they got it right? Have your say!

  1. The old schoolers are probably saying "Keep your head up" and "That's the way hockey is played" right now… No, that is a slash, not a stick check, an intentional slash on the hands. Which, incidentally, has been a penalty for a very, very long time. Now do the NHL refs call it enough? No.

  2. Refs are pathetic morons that gave COL the help they needed to come back and win the game.
They should be fined and fired.

  3. The Leaf's big dogs were inadequate & Colorado's stars showed up, so that's why Toronto lost a game, despite up 3-0 after the 1st. That said, the level of competence by the 2 clowns reffing that game was an unmitigated disgrace. They missed at least 9 black-letter fouls commited by a number of Avs. I get they that they can't see everything, but missing 9 & calling only one is a beyond belief. Drouin alone had 3 stick fouls all black & white penalties called 98% of the time. Not one of his fouls called. His slash on Liljegren, the puck carrier, a guy you would be looking right at as a ref, how is that missed? One of the worst called, one sided games, in recent memory. Sutherland is idiot.
