[Sommermann] Sounds like Brink is being sent to the AHL
Sounds like Flyers are sending Bobby Brink to the Phantoms. Will be in line to play top line minutes in the AHL for the next few weeks as Flyers play three more times before their bye week next week. Brink has been a healthy scratch in past three games. #LetsGoFlyers

While I think its fair with how it seems Torts views Brink at the moment, the fact that ND keeps getting put in the lineup and then plays 5 minutes is laughable.
It’s a lot tougher to crack a playoff team line-up than the bottom 5-10 team we were expecting this year. Hopefully he gets a lot of great minutes in the AHL and gets another look this year or hits the ice hard at the beginning of next season to cement a spot.
Tuomalla incoming?
Robert Precipice 😫 your smile was too genuine for this league.
Admittedly not an expert fan, but when i started watching more games a few weeks ago, (maaaybe coinciding with a certain football team struggling?) it was striking how often Brink lost the puck to simple checking, turned it over with a bad pass, failed to collect a pass… it was really noticeable.
Just rememeber, Nic Delauriers was chosen to play over Brink last night. He played 5 minutes.
Torts makes some stupid ass decisions at times.
He’ll be back. Kids got legit talent he’s just in a rut. He’ll figure it out.
I know everyone loves to jump down the throat whenever a young exciting prospect is sent down, but that’s what the AHL is there for. Get some top line minutes, find your groove, and come back up big man. You got this.
Honestly think it’s overdue. Not saying he won’t be back but hes been invisible offensively and defensively it’s been a struggle.
damn, now who am i going to confuse for atkinson
Hate to say it but right now that’s probably best for him. First of all, he’s never played more than 50 games in a season at any level of hockey, secondly, since the turn of the calendar year he doesn’t have a point, and that just isn’t acceptable for a top nine scoring forward on a playoff team.
Finally, honestly let you open up your team a little bit. You have two guys in the AHL in Lyksell and Tuomala who have made themselves undeniable. Beaufort scoring at really high rates for the AHL and deserve a shot of the next couple weeks.
I expect Brink to be back up after the trade deadline regardless of whether we are buyers or sellers, but in the off chance that we as the flyers missed the playoffs, he has a chance to play in the AHL playoffs. Should the phantom is eligible by going down and playing some games.
Im fine with it. Better than sitting in press box. Hes been invisible over last 6 weeks and doesnt seem like hes been able to do anything w/o Farabee.
He looked decent when he was on a line with Frost and Tippett.
