  1. Un tono positivo e inclusivo che crea un ambiente caldo e invitante per tutti gli spettatori.💝

  2. When the leafs signed Reeves I laughed so hard. Now that that wife beater Lucic is out of the league Reeves is now the worst player in the NHL. Enjoy his services for the next 2.5 years leafs, he’s exactly what you deserve.

  3. Trade proposal: Philip Broberg for Nick Robertson.

Get these guys on teams that can use them. Not sure if Oilers need a depth top 9…but I know we need a depth bottom 4/5/6. Both have great ceilings if they pan out…
But it won’t happen because Toronto will want to use Robertson for a 4/5 veteran D or 3rd/4th line veteran centre (who will be on an expiring contract) for a 1st round push (meh) and Edmonton will want to use Broberg as a piece for goaltending or a veteran 4/5/6 D… who will also be on an expiring contract.
Just trade the players even/Steven as to their positions and potential.
They used to call this a “hockey trade”

  4. Even if the Leafs were a legitimate playoff contender, Dubas absolutely plundered the picks and prospects cupboard to bring in rentals and also blew 50% plus of the total team budget on 4 players, all offensive forwards and not one stud d-man outside of Reilly.

Treliving is in a really unenviable position here, being a far more experienced and capable GM he understands the long term vision is just as important, or perhaps a little more important that the short term. Treliving is going to get flack from the most unrelenting fans in all sports let alone the NHL! We've chased out some real talent over the years because a lot of fans aren't as knowledgeable as they could be.

I'm not being hyperbolic in saying Leaf fans are the most knowledgeable fans in the game. Having said that, Toronto is the biggest city in the country and has the biggest population.
Look around the fans of any NHL team arena and you will see a lot of Leaf Jerseys among the specific team's jerseys. In Ottawa, the vast majority of fans wear Leaf Jerseys and drown out the Ottawa fans with "GO LEAFS GO" !

I believe it was the recent Leaf Oilers game in Edmonton where you could hear what sounded like the entire arena erupted in chanting "LET'S GO OILERS" followed immediately by "GO LEAFS GO"!! This went on for several rounds and was outrageously hilarious!!

Having said that, there is also a substantial number of casual, or uneducated Leaf fans who just don't comprehend the game and any forward who isn't a scoring monster is "crap" and the irony here flies right over their meat-caps because these casual, or ignant fans believe these very same "crap" forwards should be traded for some of the very best elite players in the league!
So, "crap" is actually valuable…these "fans" should get straight to a brokerage firm and buy ten thousand shares of "crap"! These same fans would lay down a ten thousand dollar bet at the track on a horse with a broken led to win, show, and place!!

"Ah yes, I'd like to bet ten thousand on "Old Hobbles N Limps" across the board.'

I believe the problem with the team boils down to fear and fatigue!
They "fear" being caught too deep knowing the defense aren't reliable. They're burnt out because they're constantly having to race from the offensive zone to the defensive zone, then once they get there, they have to cover for the AHL level defense!

True cup contender's top lines will quite frequently go deep in the offensive zone and fight hard for the puck against the boards knowing they're more likely than not going to scoff the puck, then once they have it their linemates will also be deep and finding open ice, which involves skating around to lose whoever is meant to be covering them in the hope of either being in position to get a one time pass which they can blast toward the enemy net, or get a filthy tip in!

These top lines understand you cannot win games by playing safe, or TENTATIVE! They know they have a solid group of d-men who they can rely on, which gives them the option of taking calculated chances which often results in a goal.

The Leafs arguably have the most stacked top two lines with some of the game's very best offensive talent.
So, why are they playing close to an AHL team than an NHL team? It all comes down to defense, which, by the way, I also believe has had a negative effect on Samsonov, causing him to lose confidence! Elite, or the league's top Goalies rely heavily on the defensemen, especially when they're facing two on one breakaways.

Goalies can only take one threat and they hope the defense will cover the second threat. The goalie has to read the play and understand individual players knowing which individual player is more likely to shoot or more likely to pass, and they must consider these factors within second, then, once they decide which one is more likely to take the shot, they will slide toward that side while also being in position to push off their net post in case of a pass and hope they can react fast enough to get a piece or force the player to miss the net having less open mesh to target, and having to try putting the puck in whatever space is available.

Our top forward lines are playing tentative knowing they cannot rely on the defense and as a result of the poor defense, these forwards must also skate as fast and hard as they possibly can in order to help the lacking defense and goalie. Successful people didn't become successful being afraid and careful, THEY TOOK CHANCES!!

Anyway, that is my opinion and I know I might be dead wrong at the same time.
Treliving has tough decisions ahead. He understand you cannot build a champion team/franchise without picks and prospects. His job is to improve the team with the goal of winning the cup. But he must also restock the picks and prospects cupboard. You need to develop your prospects, and you also need to have a big enough pool of picks and prospects in order to bring in talent.

The really unfortunate reality with this team is the fact that one of the core four will have to be traded either now, at the deadline, the offseason or next season. That player has to be Marner.
Marner's talent and point production are second to none in this league, but he has a very well established piss poor playoff record where he gets destroyed and becomes invisible. Nylander is also one of the world's very best winger who has marked improvement each year!! He is essential to help the team climb the board with points and he excels at this. But his most valuable asset is his playoff performances!

Nylander has been the best playoff performer year after year. He's actually bigger than he appears, and he worked very hard in the offseason cardio and weights, and put on a LOT of muscle. Nylander is a big solid guy who handles all situations and although he does have stretches where he can't buy a goal, they are far and few between. His greatest value and contribution is his playoff performances!

Man! I have got to force myself to stop after 1.000 pages!!! D'OH!
    Jack ~'()'~

  5. You guys think LA aint nervous about a now established #1 goalie on the oilers? Oettinger would be a good backup lol.

  6. The Blues are NOT shopping Parayko. As usual. And the Blues are not going to trade Binnington for a winger. Stop with this nonsense already.

  7. Disturbing that 2 players from 2018 take personal leave at the same time. Sens would likely rather move Chabot out, but that contract makes it tough. Leafs don't look good enough to be adding at the deadline. They might keep Robertson, since it's unlikely Bertuzzi or Domi will be invited back for next year.

  8. Mock trade:

    To CGY: 2024 3rd rd
    2026 1st rd
    Tom Willander
    Conor Garland

    To VAN: Rasmus Andersson
    AJ Greer

  9. Everyone knew what PLD was all about. Any team buying him deserves what they get, I have no pity for Blake and the Kings. Disaster move.

  10. Hahah I told you suckers this is a case of "about to be named a person of interest!" They know somethings up.
