Buy Reaves out at the end of the season
All but $200K of Reaves' salary is buriable in the minors. Send him down and get him to teach all players in the organization how to fight. Don't keep him out of game action so long that he is not game ready.

Have you guys thought of how a smart general manager could get it so wrong? Revo was a mistake but how did he get it so wrong. maybe it's more of a cultural issue he was not aware of being new.
Since we are STUCK with the core 4 and this crazy pay structure and can't afford to build a real team, we have 1 move that may be an option. Move on from Keefe and his inability to hold any of the big ticket accountable. Matthews once again takes a crosscheck into the boards and everyone looks the other way. The so called "snot" is nothing more than a sniffle. There is a clear disconnect from the bottoms 6 and the big contracts 4. Keefe would much rather discipline Kampf than dare to say anything to Marner/Nylander, and I think that plays a part in this teams up and down season. There is a reason Schenn/O'Reilly left.
He needs to get sent to Robidas Island. As far as him being "disruptive" or a ripple in the leafs room culture, I agree he probably is but not in a bad way. Most of the leafs are soft and very non physical, I can see Reaves being a problem wanting and trying to get guys to play more physical and gritty. Tough and gritty is NOT leafs culture anymore for whatever reason..
Not to be a whiny so and so…..if this was any other team, they would be crying to the league about the ludicrously low penalties called against Toronto. I’m shocked either media of Leafs brass do t say enough is enough….theres 5 years of being one of the least penalised teams yet one with most talent.
Do not trade the 1st there not going anywhere this year and could land a good prospect

Brad Treliving has proven he has not a single clue about building a hockey team. How Shanahan still has a job is a reflection on how broken MLSE is.
The Leafs run the same team back and get the same results. The only curious element is why are people surprised?

So he had this big interview when signed that he would change the atmosphere on TML and now after sucking very bad , minus 11 and just way too slow , now he causes drama !

Shanahan , Treliving, and Keefe and especially the PP coach have to be fired then maybe tML have a chance.
Trade Brodie plus something for Tanev and Lilljegren for Borgen to add defense who are better and more physical.
It's plain for everyone to see. There is no roster to ice with the core 4. Everyone not making $11mill a season is pretty much an AHL player with very few exceptions.
The elephant that you guys aren't addressing is the fact that HE ISN'T INJURED!!! So, if he's not injured, he salary comes off LTIR and counts against the leafs CAP !!!! They are circumventing the salary cap 🤔😴🤷

There's nothing wrong with scratching Noah Gregor the odd time and playing Reavo. 4th line is too soft.
As an armchair GM, even I could see signing Reeves wasn’t going to present itself as long term solution.
I think when Xhekaj tosssd Reeves around, and a few days later that other guy (forget who, Marcus Foligno?) got the best of him, it kinda burst aura bubble around Reeves and his presence making the Leafs a tougher team.
As well, it seems Treliving is prone to making moves to appease the fan base. He did it with Huberdeau and Kadri (there is a reason why Kadri as a free agent wasn’t signed until the very last minute and IMHO, by a GM desperate to get the Calgary fans satiated).
And he repeated it with the Leafs when he signed 4 guys early in his tenure, again to appease the fan base that he was doing something to move the team forward.
As much as I like JT, I think the team is caught between a rock and a hard place as to who is leading the team.
It is time to move on from JT and give the reins to Matthews.
If your not going to come play every night than why would want to play in the NHL its should be a privilege to play to wear the sweater I think a lot of these players forget why they are here
Woll does not have 400 games correct, but we have seen him struggle. Im talking about the few spot starts he got goin back like 2-3 seasons ago. When we first saw him u could tell he wasnt ready. Just his mechanics werent there yet, although he did alright that 1st season he got in. Every season since we've seen his mechanics improve, to where now his mechanics are actually legit top tier in the league. Its not just like "oh, well his numbers are solid but hes too green to tell." No. His mechanics have drastically improved. Has nothing to do with numbers, u can see the way he moves he's so much better of a goaltender than he was just a couple years ago. The fact that he has clearly shown gradual improvement is whats promising, cuz ur seeing the fundamentals being exemplified, rather than just looking at how many goals he let in. This dudes legit! No doubt far better than Sammy and Jones. Anyone whos watched his ascension understands what im saying. He's no flash in the pan. He's honed his craft exceptionally well to position himself for SUSTAINABLE SUCCESS.

I think Jones should be #1 Sami #2 Woll shoud go to the minors for conditining, say maybe 2 weeks or more. Jones takes on the better teams , Sami takes the B teams and wolls starts slow competing with Sami to see who looks stronger.
When woll looks like he's ready, give him more A teams

Jones is still thier best goalie, but he is their oldest goalie and, as so, needs a bit more rest in between games.

Built way more for playoffs with changes like this.
