WHY IS THIS AT MY RINK?
I’dmaybe understand if these were rookies, but these guys look like veterans. There’s no way they missed all of this.
Hockey is hockey
As an official you should also know that at such a young age a constant parade to the penalty box does very little for hockey development. If they were older, yes more would be called but almost all off that was tripping over each other or losing control of skates

When refs are not calling those cheap shots then eventually kids are going to take it to their own hands, even at young age.

Few years ago, my son was on a stacked PeeWee team. They were pounding most teams, but the coach was very cognizant about not embarrassing the other teams. Once we were up by 5 or 6, he would start pumping the brakes. Put defenders on offense and forwards back, no rushing the puck, top players would get less ice time, even having lefties and righties switch sticks.
Well, we were playing a sectional game against a pretty bad team, who had a completely out of control punk on the team. His forte was the ref check, followed by slashing, cross checks to the head, etc., behind the play. Everybody in the rink saw what was going on, except for the refs (because of the kid doing ref checks before his sh1t). So, our coach called timeout, and specifically told the team to keep going hard and getting goals. 12-0, 14-0, 16-0. Their coach is looking down the line at our coach with his hands raised (like, what the hell are you doing?). Our coach replied with an epic line: "as long as #__ is on the ice, we are running it up".
That team in blue is pathetic
Coaches of the blue team should be run out of the game…

The white team is from downstate, Pekin, Illinois. I’m curious about who the blue team is. Pekin has a decent program.
I don't think the refs were watching the same game we were.
Just think of how different the U7 playoff picture would be if these refs hadn’t missed these calls…

You notice these kids commit the fouls and look immediately at coach or parents for approval. Bad precedents.
Where is the blue team coach? Shame.

It's not the refs, or kids, it the coach. With all the different players on the leafs tripping this its taught, and that is by the coach.

My son played youth hockey for 6 years in the 70's. Nothing like this ever happened.
Once the refs let this get out of hand the other team is pissed off that’s exactly what’s even happening in the pros.
That right there referees you must make correct calls. I’m not a ref but after watching a few replays that player on the maple leafs should’ve been given a game misconduct. Literally he was trying to start fights. Makes me sick to my stomach after the ref didn’t call those penalties

Classic, the refs let it get out of hand and finally white decided if the refs weren't going to do anything they would. That truth holds at any level of hockey.
