I certainly don’t wish anything bad for PLD, but boy, did this work out for the Jets. Wouldn’t have gotten here without trading Laine. Gotta give it to Chevy, he knows when to hold ’em, knows when to fold ’em.

First 6 months look like a slam dunk winā¦. But letās hold off on the victory lap and check back in about 3 years to see what the trade looks likeā¦.
Go Jets Go!
Jesus, tough crowd in these comments.
Yes. Unequivocal yes, the Kings MASSIVELY regret this trade.
Unless PLD ever becomes a legit two-way, 70 point player (looking unlikely now, but still a chance), then the Jets won the trade simply by not paying him 8.5 for 8 years.
Thatās an awful contract for a middle six, offence-only player, which is what he is right now (and he isnāt even producing good offence at the moment).
I think it is pretty obvious that PLD is a bust. 3 teams with pretty much the same results. All we need for it to be complete is for him to tell LA he doesn’t want to be there. In my opinion he is pretty much doing that in the way he’s playing.
The guy can be dominant when he wants to, but here he is on his third team.
GOJETSGO
Time will tell.
