The GM over paid the players, got nothing for the team to play good never built up the D at all
The Leafs are not currently built for the playoffs! They require 2 big, heavy, and gritty d-men. The team is too soft and will not survive against teams, like the Florida GOONS etc. Tre, get-r-done!
I think we sell, this team shouldn't be awarded new players. They're basically a .500 team this year. Wait to buy after giving JT a lesser contract.
Any move for top for top 4 dmen with term will cost liligren plus high picks and prospects . The leafs problems run deeper than trading for 1 top dman. And the leafs have no assets they can afford to give up. Thanks to Shanahan and dubass mortgaging the future and waaaay over paying the core 4 . This team won't be a blue to make moves. And since were talking moving liligren, I see this as nothing but a side ways move. So it can't be said loud enough. This team has no organizational depth in which to make trades. With out mortgaging the rest of the future.
At this point I don’t even care if Marner gets traded or not, I’ll be happy to see him and Tavares walk at contract expiry
for nothin in exchange for salary cap, and additional cap as Marner will expect an increase.

Once again us die hard fans get to suffer ..we get the best players available ,try to win Stanley Cup ,then trade for worth to a Cup contender before their worth runs out .they go win a cup or 2 then WE get to finally say coach has gotta go and we wait 10 more years to rebuild.Put a Team of players together and stop changing the lineup .i bet Mathews thought he would have 2 or 4 players to go afterStanley NOT 56. .how is anyone ever going to win a cup when youve had 300,000 players coming and going Sorry but has no clue how to go after a cup .Look at the lineups of Dynasty teams.duhhh hey theyre mostly same group of guys.i aint got another 56 years for yous to know and understand the word

I think the should look into trading Brodie he is getting good money but he just doesn’t seem to be into playing this season I know he lost his father and his wife has MS his mind is just not on hockey very understandable He just needs to decide what and where he wants to be

If they trade Lily it should be in a package for that stud D with term. Otherwise keep him, we need cost effective depth.
