I don't think he fit in for different reasons than most people think. I think he did not fit in because the bulk of our team is soft pu**ies and like or hate Reaves, he throws hands and throws the body which is something we used to do but toughness and manliness got "cultured" out of our team with the silver spoon core..

Reavo is definitely a character… Must be tough to deal with as a Leaf fan though. Lotta money for a fourth liner and a guy who's knees are as bad as mine.
With the Oilers. I thought getting rid of the coach Woody. Wasn't the problem. I knew Campbell was the problem. But I was wrong about the coach change. And having Coffee is a huge improvement. I knew Stu Skinner was a far better goalie than woody gave him credit for. Sense Stu became the # 1 goalie man oh man he has completely changed. You have to stick with a goalie if you keep switching them it just ruins them. I think that was the oilers biggest mistake. But now they're running on all cylinders.
No one would take a 37 year old Reaves in a trade. Put him on waivers and eat the 200 k and he will probably not be used in the Marlies lineup.
Apparently the Leafs can burry all but 200K in the minors, so while it's a problem, I wouldn't classify it as a massive problem
As tough as Reaves is – like other Leafs who come & go with all the Leaf money spent on the Core 4 – the dynamics of the four Leaf $11 Million players are hurting teammates like Reaves. The Leaf team is in a steady decline & denial phase. {The real interesting problem for the Leafs is protecting their Wildcard team spot – as now the Leafs compete with Wings, Islanders, Capitals, Devils and Penguins to even make playoff’s.} Can you imagine the news releases- if Dubas’s Penguins knock the Leafs out of the playoffs?😀 After all, Guys like Reaves come & go – but not the Core 4.
Such a disgrace as a leafs fan how unappreciative leafs fans are. We got 5 players who take all the damb money to score goals and only 1 player is producing at that level. For fans to harp on playoff type players in which they cray about in the deadline or after they get beat up in the playoffs just stop. 1.3m isn't the problem 11.3m is the fucking problem x4.

If Bertuzzi is still away for the birth of his kid tomorrow night then we will probably see Reaves in the game cause they only have 12 forwards currently since McMann is dealing with that bruised finger nail lol
I’m subscribed, really like you but the team to to bottom is a joke. Only Tonto would pay this guy. Nobody is trading for him unless it involves at least a 3rd and 4th round. Heck realistically the could ask for a 2nd and 4th and maybe get it. Leafs…you are a mess!
Should have never signed him. For a team that gives over 50% of their cap to 4 players, you can’t waste anything on an aging enforcer.

As usual, the lack of courage demonstrated by the Leafs former and current GM's are STILL costing the Leafs a legit chance to go deep in the Playoffs. Treliving and Dubas have failed miserably to improve the roster with REAL skill at D and in net. Reilly cant play 60 minutes a night and needs help keeping pucks out of their net. Trading Marner should bring back a LEGIT Defensive D man or two plus another talented Goalie who could fill in for Woll if he is hurt long term. Samsonov played great vs Winnipeg, but there are still big questions about him. As a Habs fan, Im thrilled Treliving doesnt have the balls to do it, but they obviously CANT win much even with the beloved "Core Four." I dont blame Keefe for any of this mess. Shannahan will be the first suit out the door in April when the Leafs get kicked to the curb, yet again this spring if they dont make a drastic move or two now.

I make fun of the Leafs a lot, but I truly am happy they gave us Sam Lafferty for a 5th round pick. Truly an amazing gift from Toronto.
