Miller elbow on Dahlin – Have your say!

Miller elbow on Dahlin – Have your say!

J. T. Miller made contact in the corner with Rasmus Dahlin. It was initially reviewed as a major penalty but reduced to a minor penalty for elbowing. Did they get it right? Have your say!

  1. How can they downgrade after watching the review? Even if they dont think the elbow is that bad, there is still the upward motion and most of the hit was towards the head.

  2. Nasty. But he didn't lead with the elbow. The shoulder got him in the head. So, certainly a penalty. Did he target the head? That's the question to ask. I'd say no. I will also add that's the worst case of referee being out of position that i've ever seen. 99% of the time, the referee will slide around the players, moving in the opposite direction to get out of the way of the play. This referee skating with the play, which you almost never see happen.

  3. His elbow is tucked into his chest and the shoulder is what makes contact to he head. He can't actually position his elbow any further from contact. Dahlin never gets his head up even once and focus on the puck right up to the hit. This just appeared to be the refs trying to calm the game by offsetting penalties. Please get your head up on defense in the NHL, the forecheck is real.
