Absolutely beautiful. Stunning. Ronaldo level, grade AAA dive. In all seriousness, he pulled everyone favorite NHL 24 move as the goalie. If it was anyone other than Baby Tkachuk people might have given a puck.
Imagine going too fast in a shootout you need to look down to stick handle. Sometimes thinking with your head is the best play and that’s not in the Tkachuk game plan

If players are allowed to come in, go as slow as they want, and make as many moves as they want, they should not get upset if the goalie gets aggressive with a poke check.

I went to Tretiak’s goalie school when I was young and we were taught to poke check directly at the foot with weight on it…and if the puck happened to be in line with that it’s a bonus.
