Bad game with only a handful of good moments. Last goal against was pathetic, I would welcome a change over the break.

there needs to be some big changes throughout this break. this game was pitiful. so embarrassing to see how the game played out in the end, the players are clearly feeling it right now
Injuries to key players are killing them this year. Not good.

Painful to watch this. Really good first period. Two huge penalty kills. And then it all turns to shit.
I make a point to look for positives after these tough losses, but there aren't any. This was shit.
This team needs to grow up, wake up, get it together.
They took a huge step backwards this year. Part of that is Fitz changed the constitution of the team. And part of it is the coaching. Probably more the former than the latter. But they went from being on the cusp to back to rebuilding mode a little bit. As long as it doesn’t poison the well, I guess it is what it is.

Good time for 10 days off. But between the February schedule and MM/CF questions probably coming on from the media after 2/5 — it's gonna be a rough 30 days that will make or break them. Buckle up for February, hope they get some guys back

Lindy has failed to get these guys motivated. I don’t think he’s the worst coach, but what else can it be after nearly 40 games!
Hischier looks stressed. This season is a wash at this point due to injuries and inconsistency.

Meier needs to start producing. Especially since all our key players are out he should be the one that get the playtime. We need to get at least one defensemen or goalie to have anything to say. Hischier is not really looking good either this season. The Swiss players are really the worst in our team. Bratt is the only player that literally have Hughes presence on the ice…
To put in perspective for this game, Shots on Goal: Tampa 42. Devil 24. That is not sustainable. You cannot expect to win when your offense is not hustling and the defense is lost and non-existent. This game is not on Vitek. You cannot blame Lindy given all the players missing this strange season. I love Nico's candor about the embarrassment. Bratt knows what's up. During the game they showed a stat that the Devils offense right now – especially on the power play – is 50% of what it when Jack Hughes is in the lineup. Fitzgerald has to do something, — but without being rash or hasty. What was that Kevin Bahl pass all about ? Kevin Bahl's pass epitomizes just how poor the Devils defense has been this year.
the more Fitzerald stays as GM the more and longer Devils will be a garbage team. Thats an axiom
When will enough be enough this team man…
The Devils haven't played a full 60 minute game, in the regular season, in over two years. Lindy Ruff is a camp counselor at a day care, they need a drill sargeant, a task master. Phoenix sucked last year but they were fun to watch because the coach got them ready to compete. I can't even watch this team. Their compete level is putrid….and it isn't because of the skill level..
It is because they don't care until the middle of the 3rd period. Fire Lindy and I hate to say this, but we need to move on from Nico as captain.
How terrible is your public access production? Terrible audio, single channels, weak questions and worse follow ups.
These post game interviews are a broken record at this point… effort not there, gotta play full 60 minutes, cut down on the mistakes/penalties.. rinse and repeat. It's clear at this point they need a coaching change. I'm sure that Fitz is worried about a "cry wolf" scenario since Ruff turned it around last year for the better after the fans chanted for firing in the earlier part of the season, but this year seems clear as day that the current system is not working, the lack of motivation is evident, and a big shakeup is needed. The player injuries is not a good excuse since when the Devils were fully healthy they were playing barely above .500 anyway if you include the OT losses. Time for change.
Listen to Ruff….this is the exact problem! "I thought we played a real solid 1st period." Really? The Devils didn't have a single shot on net for more than the 1st ten minutes. Then Ruff tries to blame the injuries for the team's poor performance. Injuries have NOTHING to do with level of compete. Attitude reflects leadership…I am sorry Lindy, but benching Holtz isn't the solution. Do us all a favor, take your trophy for second most losses in NHL history and resign.
This team isn’t ready to play. Players aren’t put in positions to succeed. They have no cohesion and I’m tired of injuries being all the blame. They were playing like ass when healthy too.
Really hope some guys get healthy over the break. Smith and Siegs are huge losses — Hughes obviously as well and Nosek provides some muscle we’re missing. We’re basically the Comets rn so this stuff can kinda be expected.
The Devils don't "get on the wave". It takes several wins in a row and they win, lose, lose, win, win, lose. Various injuries. No consistency. no belief? and a 0-1 in practically every game.
