Well for one, I don’t understand what they’re saying. My hearing is shit though.

Things I’ve wondered every day since that series of games, let’s get it going

I used to watch a lot of European soccer, and I noticed that while some chants are complicated, many are simply repeating players names or team names over and over in some kind of rhythm, usually set to a popular or traditional song. Where they are simple chants, they will often involve some clapping or filler (OHHs or AHHHs). But the simple ones are usually quite fun to chant and they are often catchy.

So, I get why some of the longer chants don’t apply in NA, but I don’t understand why some of the simpler stuff hasn’t migrated, particularly because there are types of chants already (names, DE-FENSE, clapping, cheering to make the stadium/arena loud, and chants with goals), but more often then not they’re just boring and uncreative, but not necessarily easier than other European style chants.

I just wish we had more lively chants of “let’s go Av’s!” The “let’s go Avalanche” isn’t always the most energetic for some reason

As a guy from England myself I’ve always wondered why the chants are super basic stuff like let’s go Avs.
But then I realise that the stadium is usually a mix of home and away and coordinating that would be harder than UK where football stadiums have a home and away section.
