Haven’t read it yet. Will be back with thoughts.
O’Hearn’s departure was considered “an error in judgment” and the Wild don’t want to torpedo his post-Wild career so tight lips it is.

Wild might be signing Khusnutdinov when his season wraps February 25th and putting him right on the team. Could make the lurch to the end of the season watchable.
The weird thing is the league wanted him fired and it has to do with his actual job…. This seems similar to Dorion in Ottawa with the no trade list debacle. Except the league fucked over the new owner instead of the old owner/inheritants/Dorion at the time it happened.
It wasn’t as meaty as I would hope for.
(Paraphrased) Hynes better be the long-term solution behind the bench, considering the extensive search Guerin committed to. GMs only get so many coaching hires.
First time I’ve gotten an ominous vibe from a Russo/Smith piece regarding Guerin. The new car smell is definitely gone, especially after we found out we’re stuck with the tires regardless of how much mileage is on them.
Does that metaphor work at all?
Spurgeon is expecting to be back for the start of next year. Idk, at his age with two surgeries it seems like a better idea to be conservative and let him rehab for, oh say, 16.5 months. Purely from a medical standpoint of course.
