ok I did a little more digging on this kid, and apparently he was squeezed out of WPG because he's a bubble guy, and the Jets won't move Logan Stanley. So Chisolm was victim of a logjam, got put on waivers as a necessity, and we reap the rewards now. Overall, it'll make minimal impact, but I like it. Small victories win wars.
My thoughts on yesterday's and today's show,,
The game against Anaheim,was eye opener, on TV you don't really get to see the game unfold, what led to all the breakaways, The wild were cycling up top, in a triangle formation from the half wall , which means one bad pass leads to a breakaway, which were several, moving on I wrote a piece here

2018 5th round pick who "hasn't gotten a chance to play in the NHL"… Sounds like a lot of 5th rounders. Best part about picking this guy up is the chance that by doing so the Wild chapped the Jet's hide.
We need fefensemen that can do 3 things. 1) Get to pucks quickly and move them up ice efficiently. 2) Big enough to actually check and dislodge pucks behind the goal line (As opposed the Cough Drop Brothers Bogosian and Frosty The Slow Man!). 3) A defenseman that plays position and doesn't go puck watching and chasing (Bogosian) and having goals scored right from the spot he was supposed to cover!
The 3 Stooges and Mermis, the lifetime NHL'r need to not play another game in the NHL!

Wild need to hire an RPE. No not an rpg… A Regression Progression Expert. Seriously figuring out when players are most likely to drop off would be of immeasurable value. Other teams and coaches are too smart to try to “ hide” players.
