The Kings have all the pieces they need to get it together. But they need to GET THOSE PIECES TOGETHER. When the offense is on, the defense isn't. When the defense is on, the offense isn't. The overtime/shootout losses have been brutal. They just can't keep a lead when they have one, and when they don't have one, it seems like they can't get one.
The Kings are a long shot now for the playoffs. Their goaltending is good, but not championship quality. Fiala takes too many stupid penalties in the offensive zone and he gives the puck away too much. Dubois has been a bust so far as an 8 million dollar player. The team does not give off a good vibe. I suspect if management could reverse the PLD trade, they'd do it in an instant.Â
I hope the team wakes up after the all star break and plays as a cohesive unit.
Speculation always dogs Arizona. Sick of hearing about their cornball situation. They are the poster child for NO MORE expansion. EVER.
And fix those stupid Divisions. Why on Earth should Miami and Tampa fly right over just about every team in the Metropolitan (except Columbus) to play “rivals” in Eastern New England and Canada? And that’s just one glaring example.

Bonino can win faceoffs and block shots. That’s about it. Very successful career, but he no longer can keep up in the NHL. Time to hang up the skates.
While it is not always the coaches fault the fact they could not solve the issue means they failed at part of their job and a change could bring in someone that can find the solution to that issue.
Wouldn’t mind having Bones come back to Nashville either. He played great with Sissons in the bottom 6.

How did the Kings ownership even allow that trade to happen? Whoever the Kings have scouting/evaluating NHL players should be fired for sure. No one is surprised at what Vilardi is doing in WPG and no one is surprised at what PLD is doing in LA. Really that entire LA management staff should be embarrassed at the summer they just had.
I had been speculating there is locker room dysfunction, and Doughty calling it out confirms this. However, I find it a poor choice he aired out the dirty laundry, to me it just fractures that more. He is a captain and should have handled that within the locker room. His frustrations boiling over shows he has no real leadership tact. Horrible decision by DD.
LA making a trade for PLD, then signing him, was the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Man has 63points as a career high, and we all pretend he's worth an 8 year deal. What a joke

I’m very sorry I have to mention this every time you do a Arizona Video,
But If I were to start a NHL from scratch I’d still keep a team in Phoenix, (but they wouldn’t be the coyotes, (they’d be a expansion team with a different (but still desert-animal themed) name as well as share a new downtown 20,000 arena with the Suns) and honestly I still think you can work in a Big Market and have a dedicated fan base at the same time, and BTW I’d only go with 5/6 southern US cities, (Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Tampa and as I said Phoenix)
PLD is trash. What a horrible signing and trade for LA.
Doughty can say what he wants, and he certainly knows more than I do. But I watched Todd do nothing but chew gum and have no ideas for years in Edmonton, and so it comes as no surprise to see that playing out in LA. Hes a great coach at getting your team into 3rd or 4th place on the division table, and that is it.
