I would rather the Islanders bottom out, then fire Lou and trade some of their few valuable assets for picks or prospects.
I thought they couldn’t take part in hockey during the break.
Another bettman loser point does isles no good. pk fails again as isles outshot badly by highly skilled cats. Too many bums on this team. Perhaps roy has figured out 10 and 26 are best used with 44 on third line. Which leaves no good 27 with 13/14. And 29 anchored down by 21/18. Holy shit this is tocchet last season. Too late to turn around this season. Wait till next season. Hopefully – louzer. And wings are rising in jan. 8-1-1 as isles flounder. Isles wont catch det. Word is laine is up for grabs. Go get him louzer before caps do. Maybe bj's will take 18 as a mercy gift in deal.

if i remember we fell apart the last few years after the allstar break…this year were going to take off after the break..its going to be an epic run……………get ready
It was a tough start for Roy, playing Vegas, Panthers and Dallas, some of the strongest teams in NHL. We should have beaten Montreal and perhaps could have beaten Vegas with a bit more luck and composure. Our aim was letting less shots on our goaltenders, and outside the first game and perhaps against Panthers we have achieved that in record time.
There is some way to go, but considering the premise Roy has already made an impact. Next up is reducing the penalties, killing them better, and scoring on PP and our transition breaks better, because we have had quite a few.
Shame with Parise, who did really good while here. Perhaps this means we will make something happen like last season, if possible.

Yes this is a tough schedule but all the east teams have been losing to these teams keeping the Isles in it. Then they open with the Leafs in Toronto and here come the Rangers and they play the Devils who are playing better. Guys like Barzy and Jack Hughes make the D back up giving you space on the ice. Other than that, there is no room out there. Start Varley in Toronto. Also figure out why this team has 9 OT losses…9! No one has played more of them or lost as many of them.
Good morning team. Gil, I think the Islanders can really use this break. Maybe they can work on the PK. If we could have been just a bit better on the PK, who knows, we could be on a two game winning streak. The same few mistakes keep happening, and I know it will take a little bit of time. Coming out of the break I would love to see a much improved team on the PK. In Roy we trust!! The division is still pretty tight. Maybe all is not lost yet. I would rather swap Lee to second line he played better on 2nd line for awhile
feeling good about team after break like way team playing for roy and stupid pemalties and bad pk will improve too…as long as we are outshooting our opponents and sorokin /varly not facing 40 shots a night , our goaltending should carry us to the playoffs. also love parise and wish him the best but it was definitely a kick in the nuts…don't say its here or nowhere if you don't mean it…just don't say anything…sounds a lot like pajama boy

Great show Gil! Whally has got to be traded. Laine has some issues but needs a change of scenery. Whally, 2nd and 3rd might do it? Laine has lost his ways—-I’ve always dreamt of Laine/Bo/Barzie ——Tarasenko? Age bothers me but can he be had for Whally? Last chance for this team!! Gotta come out real strong!! Pellech?
