Amazing how many “trades” the rumor mill generates. Thinking back the last couple of years, I’m pretty sure any trade the Oilers made, was out of left field. I trust that the powers-at-be will get the best deal possible. NVM the Battle of Alberta, Lindholm has a cap hit around $5 million. Can’t see it happening.

Too much price to pay for a piece we need least, for that kind of money & trades, get a big body puck moving D Man or a solid playoff proven goalie to share the net with Skinner..
for the love of god, NO!!! he is a soft ineffective Non Playoff performer!! this is not what OILERS need now. Plus, he costs too much money. Don't even think about it, please!!!
The guy I want to look at is Max Pacioretty. He's finally back healthy and played a dozen games. Pending UFA on a cheap $2m deal. What would he cost retained? Sure wouldn't be a boatload like Lindholm. I see an easily reasonable price on a player retained you could even money out sending someone down.
The other less likely to be available guy I'd keep an eye on is Tyler Toffoli. NJ struggling and the D core is depleted. If further fall back in the race for a playoff a ufa like Toffoli would be a huge get. Would in theory be a cheaper add then Lindholm and likely more impactful.
Holland is a chintzy bargainer. He picked up Perry because he was bargain basement cheap. I expect no more moves before the deadline.
