  1. As a Montrรฉal fan, I laugh at this signing. 5.25 millions for a 15-20 goal scorer? Meanwhile, Byron, Gallagher, Lekhonen and Shaw are all paid under 4 millions with the habs….

  2. As they squeak under the cap? Itโ€™s crazy. The CAPS lost 89.5k this year under the tag rule this year.
The Anaheim crazy summer begins today. If they were that close, why not announce it on July 1 if it was an extension?

  3. OMFG IM SO HAPPY AND WET RIGHT NOW!!!

  4. So, guessing Eaves will get bought out if he's eligible to be in the offseason (assuming he doesn't retire). Beyond that, my theory is that there's a possibility Devin Shore gets moved. He has looked alright but if Bob is looking for a little bit more cap flexibility next season I bet he wouldn't have too difficult of a time moving that contract out (and again that's just pure speculation on my part).

Beyond that, I think Silfverberg's contract is fair considering he's a decent goal scorer and is very strong defensively. And I also don't think the Ducks would be looking to add much in the offseason anyway. Bob rarely dips a whole lot into free agency beyond depth signings and I also think his plan is to start really riding the kids and their cheap contracts next season. They might struggle and the Ducks might struggle next year too, but sometimes you gotta just take your lumps when you're retooling like the Ducks have to. Good thing is we got the best goalie in the world to lean on to keep us alive.

  5. In Montreal . we hear Silvferberg's name in a lot of rumors, Bergevin said he want to get a Young Forward with at least a contract for the next 4 years. So If Anaheim can trade 1 or 2 guys ( with big contract) before the trade deadline . Anaheim would be able to sign Silvferberg for 5 more years . I'm pretty sure Bergervin gonna call Murray and try to make a good deal for both team . And a other Anaheim player's in a lot of rumors in Montreal , Defenseman Hampus Lindholm . i feel like it gonna be big day on Febuary 25 in 'Montreal.

  6. So, unofficially hes officially signed for 5yrs.
Which will be officially announced when the ducks officially present the teams roster for next season, which is currently unofficially over the cap with this contract, but will be officially under the cap when the official signing is announced after the official timeline protocol is completed so its officially not a cap hit this season?

  7. As a ducks fan, Iโ€™m hoping we really suck next year to get Lafreniรจre ; I can always watch the AHL Gulls. Plus the organization needs a new face because the best years of Getz and Perry are sadly behind them.

PS. Keep up the great work Shannon! I love to listen to the vids while doing homework

  8. EVPGMIHCBM really rolls over easy on contracts. We do need him now but itโ€™s not like heโ€™s getting any better.

  9. I reckon the Ducks will just put Kesler on LTIR And the problem will be solved ๐Ÿ˜‚ Gosh the LTIR is so broken

  10. That much for maybe a grand total of 22g + 12 a. by seasons end. So under 40 points gets a player 5+ mill. Damn. This is almost as bad as the contacts the wild stuck themselves with for Suter and Parise.

  11. Not that bad of a contract if you think about it, he is a 20-25 goal goal scorer and probably the best defensive forward on Anaheim, a true 2 way player that any team on the league would want, donโ€™t let this horrible year the ducks have been having fool you he is the real deal

  12. Looks like Fowler and Henrique are getting traded. We have no cap space and have 7 players to sign for next year.

  13. I think the defensive upside of Silvferberg is being dramatically underplayed when comparing him to other players. I think he's worth the money.

  14. A team need to consist of both good offensive forwards and good two-way forwards to be good. Can not load a team with only offensive players like most people seems to think in this comment section.

  15. Ducks have too many players that I feel are over paid by a million or two. Itโ€™s adding up and hurting the team.

  16. The thing with him is weโ€™ve been saying for years now he has the potential to get 30 goals. At what point does this just become the reality.
