LeBrun: ‘I think Habs can net first-round pick for Monahan’

Will there be a lot of activity at the trade deadline? What could the Canadiens get by dealing Sean Monahan? How will the Flames approach the trade deadline? Will Phil Kessel make an NHL return? TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun joins Jay Onrait to share his thoughts on all those topics and more.

  1. Late 1st round pick might produce a 2nd or 3rd line player in 4 years. Good chance of a career grinder. If Monahan can put you over the top (not likely) it might be worth it.

  2. If they got a first for taking him and a first for Chiarot, they can get a 1st for letting him go. No doubt.

  3. The idea of any team moving a 1st round pick for a washed up, often injured guy who’s won nothing & would be a 3rd liner on contenders is laughable.

  4. Come on Colorado trade for Naz and bring him back to the Avalanche. We know what He brings to the table and we know he fits in well with the Players in Colorado. Naz was a big part of why they won that last Stanley Cup with him playing that #2 Center. Avs could definitely use some solid depth and some Blue Line Help
