Yeah I think the players are viewing this more as who is dirty or has temper tantrums and does stupid crap, and JEEK does neither of those things. I think people respect him as a player even if he’s frustrating to play against

The reason Ek doesn’t get punched more is because he plays exactly to the appropriate line. He swings and chirps only when he has to. He is big enough and strong enough to be a grinder and to stand up for his team. The enemy blue line has to bark and he has to bark back, it’s all in balance.
Watching his PIMs and seeing his discipline is why no one hates JEEk
