The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Presently, there is nothing this team does well – apart from giving up the first goal…
That’s why I am missing Andrew Brunette. I don’t think it would be as bad with him still on the coaching bench.
Finally, someone talked about changing the coach. I have said this all year, we are lacking a simple structure that 95% of the teams in the NHL have, but we do not. We skate around as fast as we can, with no rhyme or reason, exhaust ourselves, and make sloppy plays. We need to change the coach now, so he can get used to the players this year, and come into next year with an established plan in place.
Unless Jack Hughes comes back right after the All-Star break…and he better not play in that game!…and absolutely balls out, I don't think this team is going anywhere this season, better to not trade away young prospects and/or picks.
Ask Pittsburgh fans what they think of Graves. He's dropped to the 3rd line D pairing for a reason.
And good thing Beer Baron didn't drop $250-$300 on a certain player's jersey, bullet dodged, crisis averted.
They're the worst defensive team I've seen in years. They lost Graves, and severson. They lost seigenthaler and doigie to injury plus brendan smith. They were bad to begin with, but this is pathetic
We should have resigned Ryan Graves. He didn't get that much money from Pitt and he was playing the hardest minutes on defense.
