Prob cause the computer adding colour to what was originally a black and white image isn’t flawless, and we can subconsciously detect that the image isn’t 100% genuine in that sense.

Great pic, I just noticed how good a seat that would be against the glass there

Goalies not wearing helmets is still insane to me
maizeymae2020
Tge other day I was watching a 1984 playoff game and when they would the audience you would not see very many fans wearing team jerseys. Wonder when it became a thing?

Fuck it maybe they are

What’s I find the hardest to believe is that they had glass along the boards back then.
I figured plexiglass would be prohibitively expensive during those days

Seating arrangement looks weird. The guy that’s almost top right in the picture with the blue shirt and the glasses looks like he’s sitting on the dudes lap

This was poorly photoshopped/edited. Focal points of cameras don’t work this way.

Wow. More pls. This is amazing! The players and the fans. Like looking at a bygone world.
Why is no one taking video tho?

This is AI. There’s a kid in the stands looking at his phone. 🤭

Looks like a Norman Rockwell painting

Not a single jersey in sight. Lol

Back in the day when goalies were always out of their net and flopping around like this. I love it.

They put this up as a caricaturized mural in a local Detroit area McDonalds. I was dumbfounded by the way the people dressed in the 90s as a kid
nelly2929
50% of the fans are not looking at a cell phone during the game? Looks fake /s
_boomknife_
something about boards with no ads… it’s cleaner

This game is in Detroit. During the 70-71 season, Howe’s last with the Wings, they played the Sabers in Detroit on 12/12/70 5-3 win; 1/9/71 3-2 win; 2/20/71 6-5 win. They lost all 3 games in Buffalo and actually finished behind them in the standings. That was pretty embarrassing to finish behind a new expansion team.

Nah, everyone’s hands look correct

Feels weird to look at a crowd that’s all wearing normal clothes and nothing team branded
