A rare outburst of emotion from an official in the Danish first division as a referee drops to his knees after failing to give an advantage. Playing away to Vendsyssel FF, FC Fredericia were on the break after winning the ball in midfield, only for the ref to blow his whistle just as they created a goalscoring opportunity. After realising his mistake, the referee puts his head in hands then drops down to his knees, and the game finished 1-1.

Can we recruit this ref for PL?
That is one dedicated man
That’s cute!
Im American and dont know anything about soccer can someone explain what happened here why is he upset>? His favorite team missed or what?
at least he missed the shot 🤷♂
i get that it was a mistake but why did he stop??
respect 😅
Simon hooper
That’s a lesson in ownership right there
I don't even see why he blows for a foul?
I actually really appreciate that reaction from the referee and also the players.
You see this in rugby more often – but not dropping to the knees.
Still missed 😅
Refreshing to see a ref not consumed by corruption
The ref City needed against spurs !!
The player kept playing and shot on goal so advantage shouldn't be given after he misses to score, he should have just gave the corner at that point. Very bad referee
But they didn’t score. So it’s ok ref
Given the keeper makes a brilliant save, he should be apologising to the defence…
You can see the guy that yelled the most at 0:31 in the replay, is understanding of the ref's mistake at 0:19 while holding in the anger and frustration still.
We all respect someone owning a mistake, especially from a position where they pretty much never admit any wrong doing
Fair play to the ref we all make mistakes,
Yoooo Danmark!!!
I don’t see, what did he do Wrong? Advantage instead of foul mistake?
Bro missed anyway
How could you be mad at the ref after his reaction?
We need people like him!
For a moment, I thought he was just disappointed that the player couldn't score that opportunity. haha
so many hot twinks
better than all epl ref
He didn't score anyways, so he got saved
In the official report put in by the referee (Surrey District FA, I think) the referee clearly states on page 1 "Joey Barton was Right"
Premier League refs would claim they did nothing wrong and give a yellow for protesting.
Very bad call by the ref nice to see him owning it on the field.
The only face I see is Haaland
I have no idea what is happening
Bro dropped to his knees like he missed a pen in a World Cup final
Those black jerseys are fire
I died already trying to understand what happened
i don’t think i could even get mad after that (but you can never say for sure until you’re on the pitch and it happens)
am i the only person missing the foul that was called? what was called?
A little embarrassing to admit, I grew up playing soccer and after watching this over and over again I don’t understand the missed call? Someone explain
I can imagine epl refs making this mistake and smugly dismissing complaints.
The defender did get the ball before losing it again because of bad first touch so it's not that horrible decision from the ref
NBA refs need to take some notes.
POV: jugador etiopo cuando el arbitro no mira:
Still missed it though
I'm sorry but what was the ref suppose to do? I don't know football rules so I have no idea what was wrong with the match
