Children weren’t invented until the Pegulas took ownership so there was no need for Saturday kids games.

I wonder if the Leafs/HNIC have anything to do with it. Leafs were traditionally home on Saturday nights so maybe the Sabres tried to avoid that night thinking less people from southern Ontario would travel to Buffalo.
