  1. I’d be okay with picking up Xhekaj from the Habs as a much cheaper defensive tough bottom pairing guy if the plan is to move Seeler and eventually Risto.

He’d be fine as a 6 and without Seeler and Risto this is a very soft D group on the smaller side.

  2. To clarify. I didn’t mean Seeler with Bonk as I don’t see Seeler as part of the long term plan. And I think Bonk is a good 2-3 years away.

I meant for the rest of this season have Sanheim York together and Seeler with Drysdale. At least until trade deadline then see who gets moved, who if anyone, comes in and reevaluate the pairs for the rest of the season then.

I meant in the future when Michkov comes over and the team is ready to compete I see Drysdale and Bonk at that time as the top 2 RH D which would require Sanheim to move back to the left side to stay in the top 4.

  3. If the Flyers and Phantoms play different systems, there how does sending Brink down help him work on the areas he needs to improve on? Other than a confidence boost I’m not sure there’s a benefit.

  4. The problem with their current D-men is that NONE of them is of true 1st caliber. They have 6 guys serviceable for the 2nd & 3rd pair, and Stall who shouldn't even be on the team. And another half dozen on the Phantoms, maybe a year or 2 away, but no real 1st pair studs.

  5. At 5 ft 6 inches, 155 lbs, Brink is a novelty in the NHL. Smaller than Atkinson, Gaudreau, or Briere so let's not start that comparison. He will have to become a speed or sniper type player to survive getting injured. I'm not sure that will be possible in a Torts' D-first system.

  6. Carter hart isn’t leaving because of the flyers it’s because he’s being investigated by London police for sexual assault charges and might get arrested soon.
