  1. Small correction:
The Habs don’t need their 2024 2nd to make any RFA offer sheets because free agency is after the draft and it would be 2025 picks in play.

  2. We'll have our own #1 pick (top 10 most likely), Calgary's would we choose to use it , (if between 20-32), and another late one based on where Jets end up. Worst case keep the Calgary one for 2025. I forget the rest of the conditions from Calgary/Florida but in any case that is a whole lot of value we can use for a ready now prospect at the draft.

  3. A small factor Hughes would never acknowledge: trading Monahan early will probably set the Canadiens back a spot or 2 in the standings. I'm all for trading picks for young players, but we need a big move. You can make all the Newhook type deals you want, that won't get you high end talent. Need to go big.

  4. Back to having no offensive center again onnly Suzuki its gonna be hard to watch Habs hockey games for the rest of the season please go get some offensive talents im tire tom see defensemen at draft day.

  5. Lol 3rd round pick if the jets win the Stanley cup. MTL can have the jets 1sr round pick for the next 3 season if the jets win the cup

  6. Habs still need elite talent up front.
Ideally a centre that can play ahead of Suzuki.
People keep saying the Habs can look for it in a trade, but that happens to rarely in the NHL that winning the draft lottery is actually a more realistic possibility.

  7. The Calgary flame first round pick is most likely going to be for the 2026 nhl draft since it’s top ten protected in 2025 and the Calgary flames will probably suck next season

  8. Actually it is more likely for the Habs to get the Florida pick, ( 20 -32) quite simple, if Florida pick is top ten, then the Habs get Calgary’s unless Calgary’s is first overall, then the Habs get Calgary’s 2026 pick. Florida has to be really bad for there to be a chance for the Habs get a top ten pick. In that situation Florida keeps their pick and the Habs get Calgary’s except if it is 1st overall,
