  1. Being a fan of the old WHL teams who joined the NHL.
I would love to see Winnipeg win a cup.
Shout out to Canada's largest Filipino community!!!

mahal ko kayo, manatiling mainit at tamasahin ang ating pambansang isport.

    Go JETS!!!

  2. Super happy for Monahan from a Flames fan. But also angry at the Flames management who gave up a first rounder to 'get rid' of Mony and now MTL made 2 first rounders from him… Terrible asset management

  3. im cautiously optimistic about the olympic thing. they backed out last minute the last two olympics, whats stopping them from doing it again? the nhl has given us no reason whatsoever to trust them on this matter. then again, i feel like if they do try to pull that bullshit again, a lot of players will still go anyways

  4. Should the Sens try and shop Norris around? Not many centers left on the market, which could increase his value. Although his large contract and poor play this year might mean it's better to hold on and see what he does next year before acting rash and getting a bad return. Zibanejad got traded and then blossomed into his top line center roll in New York. Cheers!

  5. S Monahan has 2 shorties this year and 16 PP pts!

Jets hAve three SH in total; while kyle, shif. and cole have 10, 10, 11 pp pts respectively

    sm numbera look great

just gotta keep his injuries in order

therefore put him on PP and not take regular 2c minutes

    thx for the channel

  6. The Habs couldn't lose this trade. Think it's a win win for both teams personally but the fact that the Habs turned future considerations into a guy who played 74 games and scored 52 points and 2 1sts and a 3rd is crazy.

  7. A little too late for excitement for the Olympics. Too many players have been robbed of the opportunity, McDavid's career is half over and never even had a chance. It won't last anyways, the NHL will be out again right away

  8. Let's use this country battle format instead of the stupid allstar break. I don't know anyone that actually watches the allstar nonsense anymore. Once they took away the fan vote, because John Scott was voted in, it has been a complete waste of time.

  9. Winnipeg was operating from a position of strength. They already own Montreal's high second round pick from the Habs from the PLD trade with the Kings. The pick they traded will be about 6-8 spots below the one they traded. If you look at the PLD trade now, they pretty much got Vilardi, Iafallo, Kupari and now Monahan for a difference of 6-8 picks in the draft.

  10. Tbh team USA and team Canada are stacked af so much talent will be on one team that the slightest mistake will be the difference maker

  11. Thank God we're getting this. It'd be an absolute crime against the sport of hockey to never see a Crosby, McDavid, MacKinnon, and Makar lead Canada against Matthew's and the Hughes brothers

  12. I can't tell you why, but I always felt the Monahan deal was a bad one for Calgary. Giving a first with him was never going to end well. He is too skilled to not produce when healthy

  13. Winnipeg looking to win a Stanley cup are not words Iā€™d ever have expected to come together this season, especially as a jets fan

  14. "Best on best". It's not gonna be best on best, if Russians are not allowed. Like it or not, they're a top 5 hockey country in the world

  15. I wouldnt call draft picks ā€œassetsā€ anymore. Assets have monetary value. Draft picks are speculative, lottery tickets.

  16. Monahan was good on the power play and won a lot of faceoffs. He isnā€™t a star but he was very good, he was also a leader for that team and he seemed to be appreciated by everyone. I honestly am sad that the habs traded him. Itā€™s nice that we got two first out of the guy and it was the move to do but I honestly donā€™t know how our Top 6 group is going to achieve anything without him, Dach, Dvorak and Newhook. Suzuki is going to have some overtime until the end of the year and I just hope it wonā€™t be too hard on the culture they are trying to build. The thing I hate the most about it is that St-Louis is going to put a guy like Gallagher, who is barely NHL worthy, on the 1st powerplay line to replace Monahan. I honestly would have prefered if they traded Matheson an /or Savard because we have some young D men that could benefit from filling bigger shoes for the rest of the season but the same canā€™t be said on the offensive side.

  17. Habs Fans here ! Wish we could keep Sean Monahan healthy here in MontrƩal because he was one of our best and the one of the 3 centers left in the organisation who was not injured yet.

So we got nothing right now for Monahan which put us in big trouble but we can't draft high without getting in big trouble we had no choice to let him go while we can. Eventually it could leed to great results but only time will tell.
