  1. Let me know your thoughts on this trade. I believe I said conditional 1st in the video. But it is a 1st and conditional 4th.

  2. Wow! This now makes Monahan the top center available … and probably a plethora of suitors. Can’t wait to see what Hughes /Gorton get for him.

  3. WOWsa!! Didn't see this one coming at all, but, IMHO ,it's a good deal for both sides. Oh yeah, definitely a rental situation, but, there could be an extension afterwards. Thanks for the update.

  4. Flames fan here gonna miss u lindholm I liked you here but excited for the draft picks coming back. Conroy has to hit big in this years draft

  5. Wow Vancouver could win it all
Now. And that effectively ends any chance the rangers had of making a run this year with no chance at lindholm oh well always next year I guess 😢

  6. Yeah great trade for the Canucks, rental or no. I think the assets they gave up will not be as impactful for the Flames as they hope, although i predict by this time next year Kuzmenko will be a more established star player. Makes me wonder too, if Allvin is indeed serious about keeping Lindholm, how can he convince Petey and Hronek to all come together and give the team some hometown discounts based on the fact they could be a mini dynasty for 3-5 years. By the way TSH I believe it's pronounced BRUST-AY-VICH. I know, it's a tough one.

  7. Vancouver gave up too much for a rental , Kuzmenko plus the 1st/4th and Prospects Calgary GM must have had some compromising pics or something .

  8. Thanks for the trade news Mike!
Flames get a solid haul in this trade and Canucks get depth for a playoff push.
You know what this means, eh!
Teams will be battling to get Monahan from my beloved Habs and I'm telling you now….with Lindholm off the trade bait board and the # of contending teams desperate for a good "C"… Kent Hughes' phone will be ringing off the hook and maybe a trade happens sooner than later. He's the best remaining "C" available and a low cap hit to boot so there should be a bidding war to get him. Hughes now can essentially name his price!!!
    Boooyyyyaaahh!!!!!

  9. The Canucks overpaid. It's still not enough to get past Vegas and/or Colorado. I think Lindholm will test the open market on Canada Day

  10. It's nice to get rid of the next year salary for kuzmenko next year. but 1st round pick? oh man it hurts. wish it was lesser. oh well, we are going all in, so if this is the price to pay for? so be it

  11. Nothing against what Conroy did, but how is this not a W for Vancouver? The Canucks added an excellent 2-way center to a team that already has Petey and Miller down the middle. Now you can have Lotto Line and then roll out Lindholm on Line 2. In case you haven't noticed, Vancouver is leading the entire NHL in February… They also added a huge piece without touching Hoglander / Podkolzin / Willander / Lekkerimaki. Both teams did well.

  12. It was obvious that the flames are treading water and not heading anywhere positive. This deal is exactly what the flames need. They need draft picks and prospects. They still have two more big ones to make as well as possibly Markstrom if they can find a team that wants to go for it. Life will be bad for the flames this year and a couple more but if the prospects can hold their own then hopefully the draft picks will lift them up. I hope the scouting staff for the flames are good.

  13. Canucks unloaded a 5.5 mill guy they didn't want 28-32 pick and b prospent the only concern Hunter. He may turn into a player. It's a gamble both teams win Calgary has the best chance of winning big.

  14. We picked up a player we need. He has the skillset we need. We lost kuz who didn't fit..hunter is something we already have .

  15. Vancouver needs to find a way to offload Mikheyev for a more effective scorer like Bertuzzi or Toffoli.

  16. Many forget that Kuz had negative value due to his large continuing cap hit. Now a decent gamble for Calgary since he could be moved at the deadline next year if he produces. He wasn’t a key piece to the trade, but a cap dump. The Canucks tried to move him to Chicago, but the sweetener to move him was too expensive.

  17. As a Canucks fan it seems like a steep price but at the same time it is what the team needed…so probably a fair trade. I cannot help but pull for Kuz…such a great guy. Hope he lights it up in Calgary. Just not against my Canucks…lol

  18. Not a "Huge trade" Lindholm is trash. He was only a top line player because Calgary had nearly no one. He was good with Gaudreau n Tkachuk, but anyone wouldve been. He's a 3rd liner, 2nd at best.
