Was listening to the [latest Storm Report Walt did with Don Waddell](https://the-storm-report.simplecast.com/episodes/episode-12-2023-24-midseason-check-in-with-don-waddell) and one thing he did mention when talking about attendance is that the team has the 3rd lowest average ticket price and that over the next few years it will be brought into the middle of the pack. Not surprising, but hopefully doesn’t make us lose too many long-time folks. But also understand it’s kinda crazy lower bowl full season plans (non-Pure Hockey) are as little as $68/game.
For comparison, here is what [the Penguins](https://media.d3.nhle.com/image/private/t_document/prd/kqrxxgf6u681npx6w3pl.pdf), [Blue Jackets](https://media.d3.nhle.com/image/private/t_document/prd/trg9slvnfyo0plrhfoxn.pdf) and [Blues](https://www.nhl.com/blues/tickets/full-season-tickets) charge.

It’s not the post-cup/pre-rod years anymore where a student ID would get you a lower bowl ticket for $25.
I don’t miss the way the team played back then but those prices were unbeatable.
The price of success unfortunately
I’ve already decided to cancel my season tickets for next year. This is just the cherry on top. Year after year they keep increasing the price, and taking more shit away. For partial STM, we paid more, we got less games, and we lost the ability to choose individual games. Instead you have to commit to a package with games you don’t want. I think they got rid of the partial STM gift box too. We were right on the money when we were picking our games/seats. Within the minute we were trying to get our seats, and we got bullied out of the section we bought for. Fuck this shit. I love the team, but the arena has to get their shit together. I mean, fuck. Can we at least get some motherfucking dividers on the glassy reflective wall where grown men and little boys all have their dicks out to piss? There is no possible reason we haven’t installed them other than just being cheap.
Sorry for venting, it’s just pretty frustrating that every single bit of news that’s come out about STMs or consumers for that matter has all been bad news. I’ll pick one or two games to attend next year, but I’m not spending thousands to go to a place that’s going to extort me.
Been a STM since 2018
They kicked me out of my section this year because I wasn’t paying enough. I’m upping just for the playoffs this year and then cancelling.
Do not know if I will ever get them again. They seem to care more about selling to corporate partners than actual fans. $40 per game for parking is insane. Our cost of living is significantly lower than major cities, our ticket prices should be significantly lower as well. By trying to make them even out, you’re pricing out everyone but the super wealthy in Raleigh.
We should be priced lower cause there’s literally nothing next to the stadium. It’s not a premium event experience and I say that as a huge hockey fan.
In Boston you could walk around, grab some food outside the stadium and of course afterwards there are bars and shit. Like we have tailgating but we’ve always had tailgating.
Go to any game now. It’s quiet and full of kids. The games have no energy. It’s not the loudest building anymore. I’ve been to games with 9k fans and it be louder than it is nowadays.
It’s become a social thing for familes to go do instead of a college football atmosphere and I miss that so much. It was our identity. The higher the prices the worse it gets.
And I really hate how they keep taking everything away from partial STM’s. They don’t care at all about how long you’ve been loyal to them and that’s so annoying
I don’t mind if the prices go up a bit. As a trade off though I would want more flexibility brought back to the packages
There’s literally a wait-list for season tickets for next year. They could hardly sell the holiday plan because they had so few seats to offer. Supply is obviously capped and when demand reaches the level of available supply and ultimately exceeds it, prices naturally go up. Hockey ticket prices have nothing to do with the cost of living in a given area. The players are going to get paid regardless. Demand for tickets based on success on the ice, general interest level of and the growth of the fan base, and what quality players command in terms of pay dictate ticket cost. Definitely keeping my tickets for next year, and will pay for parking in advance. If you pay $40 for parking you’re doing it wrong.
I just wish they gave a discount for renewing season ticket holders over new ticket holders.
Reward people who have had tickets for a while. 1% off new season ticket holder price for every year you’ve been a season ticket holder.
