Thanks for makin the vids & keeping us up to date during the crappy times that will be over soon.
The Oilers have learned the price of rushing a guy (JP). He does not want to play here anymore. It was like we crushed his dreams. If you go slow, no matter which league someone is playing with before the NHL it shows respect and trust. Trust in those teaching them and bringing them up who are partners in many ways and trust in the system and the player. You're telling the player we trust you will put in the work and get yourself to the point where you can make the jump here. We are trusting you to work with our partners (Skelleftea / Liga / KHL / whoever) to get yourself ready for the AHL and from the AHL you learn the North American variant of the game especially the speed and you can earn a spot and make the jump and we won't rush you. That mindset difference is massive. It gives us a "farm" system that lets us get the younger players setup for success (or see if they simply aren't going to work out in which case we don't bring them over). They may be a high draft pick based on limited data but until you see if they can actually play the game here its numbers on a spreadsheet and not a real player. Great breakdown as always.
Give a like people Tyson is trying to keep us going
Next season oilers should call up even Bouchard
It’s great news that broberg is staying in Sweden, this is the ken Holland effect, he did this during the successful years for Detroit and he’s going the same path now with broberg and our other prospects. This is good news
Hey Tyson, Do u think Broberg will be called up for a couple games? Kinda like evan bouchard this season
Hate it but think his to young for NHL and Skellefteå is a good team to get ready
Think is better to develop in sweden then ahl.
No rush for him at all, take all the time he needs. Another year in Sweden and then a full year in Bako if needed, is fine with me. Hell, even 2 years in Bako would be fine with me, and him being a first call up if need be. This kid will be an elite puck moving defenseman for us and a really sound presence for us on the blue line.
I'd rather him build his confidence in the OHL he'll rip it up there
Good plan for success he'll be more comfortable over there and that will build his confidence with more ease!
