This draft is full of "Might be" players. So tough.
Macklin is basically the guaranteed star, everyone else seems like they are more of a coin flip but there are good aspects
If we don't get 1st overall, this is the guy I'd want, followed by whoever is the best d-man.
The more I’m looking at it the more I think Cayden Lindstrom would be the best pick not named Celebrini. Big forward, fast, super high ceiling.
The problem I have with Demidov is exactly his overskilled play. As you mentioned JD, the coaches dosn't like it too much and I don't know if he'll be able to transfer it to the NHL level. So there's question what about his "pure hockey play"? Is it enough good to become one day 1st/2nd line C/W that Sharks need? Not sure if this would be the right choice for the Sharks.
I like Demidov over a guy like Eiserman in this draft if that is the way they are looking. That being said I think if we don't get Macklin we need to swing on one of the top defense prospects this year. Macklin at 1st and Buium/Parekh with the Pens first would be ideal.
