It's a shame that Georgiev's performance was kinda wasted in this game. He made AT LEAST half a dozen primo saves. But oh well, they got a point and I honestly think they will play better tonight against Jersey regardless of the back-to-back. Just feels like this game was a "get the rust off" game.
EDIT: Also, so psyched to have Parise on this team. I don't expect a lot of production out of him at 39-years-old(though it wouldn't surprise me if he did), but I don't even care. The guy is just an animal and would shoot hockey directly into his veins if he had the opportunity. Gives 110% every single shift, forechecks hard, gets physical and is defensively responsible. I think he'll be a perfect anchor for the bottom-six.
EDIT2: Byram strikes me as a late bloomer type, which is fairly typical of development for defenseman and may be why he unfortunately gets traded, but I just get the sense that he'll be one of those players that breaks out in his mid to late twenties, which could be too late for the Avs.
