As usual great interview!! Thanks Chris for putting out such a great Podcast! Boston born and bred here!!
Great player hope this guy comes back next year
I would love to see the Habs sign him to a longer term contract. He will earn his contract.
I'm not crying, you're crying!!!
Okay we're all crying.
as a habs fan i am really sorry to see sean monohan go. i understand what the braintrust is doing but this one hurts because he fit right in and was second in scoring. i wish he was 5 years younger. he's a center and good on the faceoffs. we will sorely miss him. i wish him good luck and success.
Class act. Reminds me of a great Hab, le gros Bill, in his play and his leadership. Will be missed, #timetotank.
Off to Winnipeg, he'll be a great addition to that squad. Byfuglien was welcomed as most tough guys are in that town. Good Luck money man.
Good luck Sean. Would love to see you back as a Hab.
Sean is a class act player. Wishing him only the best. Go get that Cup sir!
He was a Hab favorite! He definitely played great for us and we will remember it. Hopefully, a deal happens in the off season. I hope he gets that money while he can and stay healthy.
Think this interview was made 7 months ago…. anyways Good luck Sean we certainly love and respect you 🙂 hope you want to be back in Montreal 🙂
Thanks for everything sean. Go get it!!!!😊
Glad you're going to a Canadian market team if you would have gone to New York or Boston you would have been less appreciated best of luck to get it.
I hope Sean comes backl!!!
As a Habs fan, the guys are going to miss you.
I remember being jelous of Sean Monahan hoping we had drafted a player like him in Galchenyuk. Even though Sean was drafted one year he latter he was drafted in 2013 he was way ahead in his development than Galchenyuk drafted in 2012.. Monahan was good right away, showed character and leadershio right away. I was like damn why can't Chucky be like that? Maybe he needs to improve his skating maybe this maybe that.
I always had Sean Monahan in high esteem as a hockey player. I was shocked that we got him for nothing and how well he played last year after after comming off huge sugeries and off for so long. Only great athletes do that and that's what Sean Monahan is an all round great athlete and hockey player good in everything. Offense, Defense, tough, smarts leadership.
When he said last summer that he was feeling better than he had for years I wrote on many sites that Sean Monahan was going to have a great year and he did.
Now after playing one full year healthy I predict that next year Sean Monahan will be like the Sean Monahan of old. Remember this post. You'll see, he'll be back to being a point a game player especially surrounded by good players.
Sean thank you for everything, I speak for many fans that we wish you nothing less than a Stanley Cup victory and know you will always be loved and welcome in Montreal.
Best of luck with the Jets!!
Loved you on the flames and I'm a jets fan, so i'm extremely excited to have you here in Winnipeg!
Sean Monahan only played 74 games in Montreal over the span of 2 seasons.. And in this short amount of time he completely won over the fan base. What a beauty, I wish him nothing but the best in his future.
Chris is the #1 interviewer when it comes to hockey podcasts hands down
Love him as a player and the fans in Montréal know he is the real deal. 100 % effort every game. I sincerely hope we wins a cup in Winnipeg. You will always be welcome in MTL anytime Shawn❤
Another great conversation, thanks Chris, thanks Tim.
Tim should be the color analyst on TSN3 for Winnipeg Jets games. Why they have Kevin Sawyer is beyond me. Staples would be awesome between the benches.
Thanks for the interview Chris & Tim! Gonna miss having Sean in a Habs jersey, thanks for everything Sean, best of luck in Winnipeg!
Awesome interview. Nice to see Stapleton again. A lot of people still talk about him here in Winnipeg.
Awesome interview, awesome podcast!
I love Sean Monahan, he was Habs most complete player, I will miss him.
Go jets go 🇨🇦🇨🇦✈️✈️✈️
I’m gonna miss mony. We’re gonna suck for sure without him. Hopefully he comes back next year. 😢
I'm happy for Sean that he's been traded to a Canadian contender, but I'm really going to miss seeing him in our lineup. He's so versatile and so talented!
GoJetsGo!!
Winnipeg fan here. I’m not used to hearing such love and respect from the MTL fans. You guys are always so critical. It’s heartwarming.
My young age Idol ! Chris Nilan !
As a Jets fan, I can't wait to get Money Hands on the team. You're a beauty, and I hope you can be part of this run!
Nothing boring about him, your the man Sean. Hopefully he comes back next year.
Nobody in wpg will stare you down pretending to write with a ballpoint pen. Could be a OG player talking to you but he will just have a beer in his hand. The city loves you and nobody cares at the same time.
Why would you trade for a pick and hope that pick one day becomes as good as Monahan.
You have hom now.
The team will forever be worse because no one they draft will be as good.
I'm leaning towards dropping them as my go to sports.
Bunch of losers who have no goals.
Literally and figuratively.
In an understated way, Sean’s demeanour on the ice, and in this interview, displays real leadership quality. We will certainly miss him in Montreal. Great work Chris and Tim in bringing the human side to the fore in asking pertinent questions
Welcome to Winnipeg Sean. Wishing you the best of health and success with the Jets.
Go Jets/Sean Go!!!
Monaghan is a class player and enjoyed his brief time with the Habs and I wish him nothing but the best with the Jets!
"Bill Peters?", Stapes – "Archie Bunker?" LOL. Awsome.
Brampton boy Brampton not the same anymore!!
Tim can inform Sean a little about Winnipeg and such, I’m excited to have Sean on the Jets.
He was one of our best players when he played here in Calgary. Lots of fans here in Calgary were sad to see him leave.
