Is It Time For the Nashville Predators to Trade Juuse Saros?

Should the Nashville Predators trade franchise goaltender Juuse Saros? Between the Preds’ ho-hum place in the standings and Yaroslav Askarov’s red-hot stretch with the Milwaukee Admirals, a few national writers think now is the right time for Barry Trotz to put his best player on the trade market. On today’s show, we discuss the two biggest things that need to happen BEFORE a Saros trade takes place, and the one big reason the Preds SHOULDN’T sell their franchise goalie. Plus, we look ahead to Wednesday’s showdown between the Preds and Kings and dive into the Milwaukee Admirals’ 11-game winning streak.

  1. It has been FORTY YEARS since a team hoisted the cup without at least one top 5 pick. Nick and Ann are so naive, and ignorant. It's offensive.

  2. After the Ottawa game, and now the loss to the Kings, I think we definitely need to trade Saros while we can possibly get some great pieces for him. If we’re going to rebuild, then rebuild. Habitually staying in the Wild Card mix until the end and then being a first round exit isn’t what I’d like to call a “successful organization”. I think we should take a more “Edmonton” approach to things. Btw, it isn’t like Askarov isn’t ready to go. Thanks for the news, guys!
