Alternative Highlights: Canucks @ Bruins – February 8 2024
We’re in Boston as the Vancouver Canucks face the Bruins at Ted dancing Gardens Kenny where are you well way sorry Vic I was just boing my H yeah you know you can’t do that Kenny and I sure hope you didn’t hit a bridge on your way
There you didn’t on first period and the Canucks would go on the power play basically at the start of the game but Demco would end up passing the puck to Charlie Coyle who feeds it to Brad Marshon for a short-handed goal puck in the neutral zone let’s take another look
On our BC highway overpass impact replay yeah Vic Lindholm tries to get in the club and Miller says denied Canucks on the power play again and yet another uncharacteristic short-handed goal things didn’t start off good in the second period within the first minute the puck would end up in the Canucks net
Twice the puck would find its way into the net for the Canucks but it was instantly waved off for a high stick I hate it when I get hog blocked Kenny couple chances in the third for the Canucks But ultimately that was would prove fruitless as Boston shuts them out
4 to nothing well guess we can just flush that one but I find it’s always best to reset things by shouting the Canuck’s unofficial season slogan don’t get eliminated
Kenny Blankenship & Vic Romano cover the Boston Bruins’ commanding performance against the Vancouver Canucks, highlighted by Linus Ullmark’s first shutout of the season, his seventh career shutout, securing Boston’s position at the top of the NHL standings alongside Vancouver with 73 points. The Bruins (32-10-9) showcased their offensive depth with Pavel Zacha contributing a goal and an assist, and Brad Marchand and Danton Heinen each netting short-handed goals. Despite Thatcher Demko’s 21 saves, the Canucks (34-12-5) saw their 10-0-2 streak come to an end in a game that featured rapid scoring from Boston, including two goals within the first minute of the second period. The match was also marked by a disallowed goal from Canucks’ Nils Hoglander due to high-sticking, adding to Vancouver’s challenges in this tough contest.
