This wouldn’t have if they would just stop giving out ridiculous contracts then they would be able to keep these players. But for years they sign players to way more then they are worth and they hand out no trade or limited trade contracts. What ever happens they better now give up Ottoman Sykora or the 1st

Your comment about Buchnevich playoff performance as a Ranger is a bit misleading. He played in only 8 playoff games as a Ranger, and in 5 of those games he only played 10-12 minutes in the bottom 6 during his rookie year. Not much to go off of there. And in St. Louis he played really well in the post season in 21-22, roughly a point per game as you mentioned. Sammy Blais for Buchnevich will always be one of the 10 worst trades in franchise history. Here we are three years later and this team still doesn’t have a single bona fide right winger on the roster. Pathetic, Drury.
Unfortunately I don’t think Drury would want to have to relive the experience of the Buch trade and have to eat crow on how bad it was in hindsight.
It’s more upsetting that Kreider and Zib haven’t been the same without him and instead of looking at the duo themselves, the team has to insist on trying to find a short term solutions every week when maybe it’s just time to separate them for a new look.
